ePassporte - Verify Your Identity on this Computer!

I am sick of this :(

This page comes every other time I login my ePassporte .. why the hell it doesn't remember my computer?

Same computer, same IP, same browser .. wtf am I missing?

Is it just me or others are also having issues?

Someone please fix this.

marketsmart 12-31-2007 08:22 PM

first people complain about getting their accts hacked, now they complain against an extra security step...

wtf do you want? this is the internets...

if you want 100% security on the nets, unplug your ethernets cordules...

btw, you are a dumb fuck!

FredIsMe 12-31-2007 08:46 PM

I'll take the extra security of epassporte

heymatty 12-31-2007 09:09 PM

I click yes everytime and also have the same constantly not recognised problem. Its not a big deal but I also would prefer it was fixed.

Bank of America use the same system and no problem with theirs.

What I was thinking

heymatty 12-31-2007 09:45 PM

I have cookies enabled.

Same software works fine for B of A. Its a browser compatibility issue I think.

minusonebit 12-31-2007 10:06 PM

ePassporte and Security do not belong in the same sentence.

I have the same problem, but I welcome the new security.

I have this same issue too and yes I choose YES every single fucking time and I still get the damned security question.

If they can't get the security page to work correctly that makes me kind of worried about how good this "security" actually is.

Iron Fist 12-31-2007 10:35 PM

Its epass.. what do you expect? Things to run smoothly?

YOU=RETARD

No wait I'm sorry I apologize. I just insulted retards eveywhere.

Vick! 01-25-2008 02:31 PM

Same shit time and again .. I indeed selected "Yes" while answering to security questions.

This security page coming up every time made me think that they simply added a security feature which now need two passwords instead of one.

Thats all they did.

This is the point to note. But retards like marketretards won't get it.

PS. I am amazed on the quality of programmers they have .. they can't even recognize the computer coming back with same IP, same browser, same all shit?

A $15 per hour Bangladeshi programmer can do this for sure.

:2 cents:

It works for us, but not for you and it is their problem? Interesting.

so big boy?

nikki99 01-25-2008 04:11 PM

I better security I think is a good thing

Jdoughs 01-25-2008 04:11 PM

It also does this for me, same comp, same ip, same questions, same 3 stage login everytime.

I dont think any of us are complaining that they are trying to upgrade, but its a simple flaw that should have been caught befor release, and certainly not still being an issue weeks later.

fuzebox 01-25-2008 04:23 PM

That's strange, it was only come up for me when I have changed IPs. Using Firefox...

ztik 01-25-2008 04:28 PM

I assume its internet explorer 7. It DOES NOT work for me on IE 7, but does on IE 6. Not going to downgrade all my computers just for that though.

Anyone else notice the same thing?

Wish I could turn this fuckin thing off

polish_aristocrat 01-25-2008 04:29 PM

MY IP changes every time I connect to the web, so at least once daily.

I was wondering why this security feature is IP-based so I made a thread/poll in order to find out how many people have a static IP. I definitely wasn't the only one with a dynamic IP.

Therefore we can conclude that there are thousands of epassporte users for whom that security feature is simply useless.

Trixxxia 01-25-2008 04:30 PM

my question to all of you is - do you have more than one epassporte account?

polish_aristocrat 01-25-2008 04:32 PM

Also, this feature is far from good.

The ideal security feature would allow you to set all questions by yourself. While this security feature tells you that you need to chose two questions from their example questions.

And some of the questions like "what's your favorite movie" or "favorite band", aren't really intuitive, you have to actually rememeber how you have answered them.

My own question was regarding a very personal issue and I answer it intuitively. All questions should be like that.

I have no problem with BoA's system either but I do epassporte. Now explain THAT.

Yes, I do. And I tried to assign FF to one and Netscape to other .. thinking there might be an issue with cookies i.e. one account overwrite others' cookie or something.

But still same shit.

I really like the comments of GatorB on this, I really want to keep it in my sig but it will become out of context.

Guys, lets keep this on first page until they fix that annoying three step login. GFY can get every problem solved. Trust me :winkwink:

OzMan 01-25-2008 09:03 PM

again like I said earlier check you are allowing their site to drop a cookie.. if your IP is unchanged it's gotta be the cookie.

If other sites that require cookies don't have this isssue then how can it be on MY end. Obviously I'm allowing cookies because as I said other sites aren't having problems.

You would think but you can't be sure unless you have cleared cookies and go to their site and see a new one or search your cookie folder for theirs if you don't wanna delete all.

Check all the other crap too if you haven't already like allowing the site in your browser, javascript and firewall settings.

I think most banks will be moving to this two step process soon so it'd be worth your time to figure it out.

This was the first thing I thought, but like GatorB said .. I am also allowing cookies and when every other site on the net is working fine for me then why not epassporte?

Leonard 01-26-2008 01:17 PM

I'm having the same problem, and i'm using firefox. People still use netscapes? wtf???

I use Bank Of America with no issues.

Ross 01-26-2008 01:54 PM

I have the same problem but just figuered it was doing it coz I have two epass accounts I check regularly. Thought it was an extra security measure...

I don't mind. Rather do that stage that takes me 3 seconds than have it like it was before.

GatorB 01-26-2008 01:56 PM

When I lower my IE Privacy settings from medium-high to medium then the dumb thing works. I'm sorry I'm not real confortable having to lower my privacy settings because epassporte programmers are too ignorant to make a cookie that can comply with my privacy settings.

mine works on medium-high

did you add epassporte.com under the "sites" button to "always allow" cookies?

if you did that already and it still doesn't work then ... uh I'm all out of suggestions :upsidedow

Yes I did and yeah so far now it works. However I SHOULDN'T have to do all that. I wonder how many people not near as knowledgeable as me would have NEVER figured this out. Here's an idea. how about epassporte tells their customers that thier IE security needs to be at medium or add https://epassporte.com to their "always allow" privacy settings.

neewwman 01-26-2008 03:07 PM

Same with me.
