Holy fucking shit, check these tits out!

Whats the longest you had to wait for a dns change to take effect after adding it in Godaddy nameserver thingy? Its taking many hours now already while the last 20 domains i added were working almost instantly. Could there be something kaput or is it still possible it will take a long time as it used to do?

drjones 12-30-2007 05:28 PM

Damn it. Just for that dirty trick, Im not gonna answer your question.

Dude im sorry but i asked it in another thread without the tits part and nobody fucking clicks it.

drjones 12-30-2007 05:29 PM

J/K... anytime a new domain is added to DNS, it can take up to 48 hours to fully propogate.

Dirty F 12-30-2007 05:30 PM

Here some tits:

VicD 12-30-2007 05:31 PM

D Ghost 12-30-2007 05:31 PM

tony286 12-30-2007 05:31 PM

nice pic and isnt the owner of go daddy a jesus freak?

drjones 12-30-2007 05:31 PM

Any idea what causes this?

baddog 12-30-2007 05:32 PM

GoDaddy is usually not longer than 10 minutes . . . is it possible your ISP has it cached?

If trying with www, try without

Dirty F 12-30-2007 05:33 PM

That other thread from 30 mins ago without the tits in the title still has 2 pageviews :/

Supz 12-30-2007 05:33 PM

i would try re-doing it, maybe putting other servers and then going back to the right ones. ive never had it take that long for me, its always instant, for me.

StarkReality 12-30-2007 05:33 PM

It's a little strange, since propogation only takes very little time nowadays, but yes, give it a day or two. Rarely happens, but experienced it as well...it's not a godaddy specific "problem".

I would go with ISP having it cached. I had one here for awhile that would take a day to show up at the new place. See if it is working through a web proxy like anonymouse.

Does it work for anybody?

Really? I still get the Godaddy page but it either case it shouldnt say server not found because there is an index uploaded on my server.

Ah so you do see the page. Then my isp must have it cached. Nothing i can do about that i guess right?

sicone 12-30-2007 05:44 PM

Well at least ya attempted to save the thread....

Sadly the changing of dns can take anywhere up to 72 hrs as stated in the terms. Most times it does take place within minutes and updates around the web fairly quick too. But in a few cases it has taken almost all 3 days for the changes to take place.

I just pinged it then loaded the ip adress and saw the page, then went through the domain and it loaded the page. Weird.

That is what they mean by waiting for it to propagate.

If you hold down control and refresh the page will clear your cache

On my server yeah but not Godaddy or you would see the Godaddy page?

Ah whatever, it works now.

qxm 12-30-2007 06:02 PM

.....DNS propagation delay is always a hassle, grab a beer and watch some TV in the mean time....
