I installed a 2400 baud modem and....
my mouse quit working. I think they are both on IRQ 12.
:helpme |
so whats your point? Just sounds like a dumb idea LOL
|
Ahh yes... MMM the the sound of the carrier wave....
|
Why not use smoke signals? Surely they're faster than a 2400 modem.

I used to get an instant boner whenever someone mentioned a 2400 baud modem, when mine was like 300 or something. :thumbsup

I remember when I got my 14400 and was super wet over it because it went so "FAST". And man I loved my 386. I kind of wish I still had it, but what the hell would I do with it now? Does anyone even run BBSs anymore?

I have 2 TRS-80 Model 1's with a cassette player, and 1 TRS-80 Model 3 with floppy drive. Even cooler is the little 300 Baud Modem (so called "direct connect" because you didn't have to put the phone ear piece in any kind of cradle, and "directly connected" to the phone. It doesn't even dial the phone number. You have to dial manually, and then throw a switch to make it connect. So cool. Best of all, it all still works.
