Anyone have the Verizon Voyager??????
Good /Bad?
|
I was playing with one and its a really COOL phone... Kinda like the iPhone but I did not get one becuase its not a smartphone PDA type at all. The functions are all for show but has a weak backend.
|
I'd also like some feedback on the voyager. Time for a new phone. My Treo is seriously beat up.

It's alright.
I checked it out a few weeks ago. It's a cool gadget. Not nearly iPhone type cool though. I like the touch response/mini-vibrate. I like the v-cast multi-media features tv/music videos/etc. I love the big ass keyboard with the dual/inside screen. Overall, it's a more than decent phone but it doesn't really have a BIG ENOUGH "wow factor" for the money! :2 cents: |
I just got mine a week ago - and I love it.

While I was on the road I used it to check mesage boards and posted, and had direct access to my email. If you have any other questions I can try to answer them but so far I love this phone! |

:thumbsup:thumbsup I have the Treo on Verizon and was looking to get something different. I looked at the Voyager hoping I'd be WOW'D but just wasn't. From a functional perspective its not multi-touch and I didn't like the way it scrolled - plus there's no wi-fi - it's EVDO only. The thing is, my main phone is on Sprint/Nextel. It's an old phone but it's built like a tank and I put about 4,000+ minutes every month on it and abuse it all day every day. It's my main phone on the road and in the office and the only one that the battery LASTS all day for me. The Treo on Verizon was intended for email, the web and as a backup phone for when service is no good with Sprint/Nextel - and for that it's been great! Verizon's service has been incredible all over the country for the past 2 years. There's really no complaint other than I wanted to update the phone and really couldn't find anything they offered that I REALLY WANT! My intention was to stay with Verizon but my wife got me the iPhone for Xmas. Now, I have until the 8th of January to play with it or decide to return it. I never liked AT&T so I wasn't going to switch BUT the iPhone is pretty damn cool! The Safari browser is great and I love the multi-touch and zoom. Email is seamless with Gmail and I'll have my main work account set up next week. Getting to contacts is super easy. The visual voicemail feature is the bomb and SO CONVENIENT! Having all my music on the iPod and ability to watch video are a nice bonus. I have 600+ songs on my damn phone and I've already watched a half dozen episodes of the first season of "24". Surfing on wi-fi is pretty damn fast and convenient when there's a connection. If the service ends up being decent then I think I'll keep it ... but that's what's always kept me from having an account with AT&T - historically they've sucked! I guess I'll see for sure soon enough and I'll have to decide if I really NEED to have 3 cell phones or just stick with 2! :helpme :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh |
Yeah, the scrolling takes some getting used to on the Voyager....
|
Are there any Verizon phones that are Wi-Fi capable?

they may have the new BlackBerry WiFi....if not now, than soon |
i would think the voyager is mainly going after the SMS market. I think of that phone as Verizons upgrade of the LG EnV phone that has a ful keyboard...
if you use your cell for email, net, i dont know how people dont use blackberry or iphone...best phones for biz....(IMO) |
damn, sucks for you all, i have had wifi on my treo from sprint for ages...just a simple little hack
I have no idea why people go for the iphone though, the treo can do SO much more...yeah, the screen is smaller and there is no multi touch, but shit I have tomtom navigation and SO much more with the treo |
It looks slick but I'll stick with the iphone.
