Just horrible news.

papill0n 12-29-2007 05:04 PM

Sdaly that has happened twice here this week.

On one occasion the parents left the kid with a rotty and went next door for drinks. :(

Blazed 12-29-2007 05:05 PM

no shit,,

Theo 12-29-2007 05:05 PM

I really dont get how such cases keep happening. It is crazy parents fail to understand how exposed can their child be to danger by letting an animal around them with no supervisor.

minusonebit 12-29-2007 05:12 PM

I thought that was common fucking sense. Funny how uncommon common sense really is.

cybermike 12-29-2007 05:15 PM

Depends on the dog.. our cocker spaniel was super protective over my nieces

L-Pink 12-29-2007 05:18 PM

The parent's were idiots. A 2 1/2 year old Rot that they owned for 1/2 year.

TRANSLATED: A young adult dog that for some reason was on it's second set of owners ... owners that were not part of the dogs early development and probably don't understand the pac status mentality of dogs.

Note ... substitute gun for dog and this would be a five page anti-gun rant. Really, who leaves an untrained second hand attack dog laying around where children are playing.

Pretty much what you said. Anyone who leaves a child that age with an untried dog is an idiot.

tony286 12-29-2007 05:35 PM

thats sad but could of been prevented.

Theo 01-11-2008 04:48 AM

whats an untried dog? I think this rule should apply to any dog since you can never tell.

justsexxx 01-11-2008 05:07 AM

Yeah sucks. All dogs can do this when they is no 'superior' in the area.

Absolutely.

you know, i used to think collie dog is like the most innocent dog ever and nothing could ever go wrong. I remember not that long time ago a collie killed the female adult owner of it. I got shocked by this event cause, happened in my city.

ServerGenius 01-11-2008 05:18 AM

it's exactly that behaviour what causes attacks coz you teach the dog
that kids are bad by not allowing interaction with them......

You should say NEVER let kids close to dogs you and/or he doesn't know

sniperwolf 01-11-2008 09:01 AM

OMG! that's horrible! :Oh crap

Brother Bilo 01-11-2008 09:05 AM

Ya, but I agree with it depending on the dog. Although the fact that they were the second owner of an adult dog is suspect, probably shouldn't of trusted it that much.
