What is a site called that's not mainstream or adult?

Like for example: a forum based on illegal drug use?

No nudity or anything related to porn but adsense wont touch it with a 100 foot pole...

What is the universal name for these type of sites?

I ran a cocaine board for a while, if i was you, i would get rid of it before the Feds raid your home and take away your PC to find the complete list of board members. :)

Good :winkwink:

To answer your question, some boards are mainstream, others are semi-legal (like torrent boards) or illegal, until the Feds raid you. Ex: CP forum, Carders forum.... or a forum advocating heroin use in the US.

Niche maybe?

ShaveBucks 12-29-2007 05:47 AM

it's called a website.

CyberHustler 12-29-2007 05:49 AM

What would sites like www.liveleak.com and www.hightimes.com be considered? They aren't adult, but would they be classified as mainstream?

Why would you name the site based on if you can use adsense or not? I mean, what I know is .. non-adult sites are mainstream, whether you can use adsense or not, thats not a question.

Just using adsense to help describe what I was talking about.

So is a warez site main stream? Surely not... And I doubt you would EDIT main stream (google it if you don't know what it is).

Nookster 12-29-2007 06:37 AM

Well, if you would know your stuff then you would realize that you have to be 18 years old to purchase a HighTimes magazine, view their website, and the like. Therefore it is classified as an adult website, period. Websites advocating drug use of any kind are classified as mature material. Mature = adult.

Nookster 12-29-2007 06:39 AM

There truly is no middle ground. It's either adult-related or not. :2 cents:

JamesK 12-29-2007 06:46 AM
