First Concert?
Some one brought up their first concert in another thread and that made me wonder... what was every one's first concert?
The first concert I went to was Kansas. There was a Def Leppard concert I wanted to go to that went through a year before the Kansas concert but my mom refused to let me go see them. |
Oh man, my first concert sucked. It was Bush, No Doubt and the Goo Goo Dolls. Suprinsingly enough, the Goo Goo Dolls actually kicked ass. I had no idea, but I guess they were a metal band back in the day and figured they would make more money if they starting singing songs for broads and pussys.
But overall, very dissapointing first concert. |
I'm 39 and I have never been to a concert and have no desire to go to one.
|
The Cure, Interpol, The Rapture
BTW GatorB is awesome. Thank You. |
When I was 13, The Rolling Stones at the Skydome.
We had 3rd row seats, that was quite cool |
Kiss. Varsity Stadium, Toronto. Sept. 6, 1976. I was 13, as well.

Motley Crue, with Autograph opening.
Shortly after, Def Leppard, with Tesla opening. and later, I attended 70 or so concerts in one year as part of my business at the time. A few names I saw, and generally partied with: Cheap Trick Sammy Hagar Skid Row Poison Van Halen Queensryche Bad Company Boston Iron Butterfly Moody Blues Whitesnake Warrant Reo Speedwagon Jethro Tull Metallica Rush Ozzy Pearl Jam Bryan Adams (wtf? No idea) Dokken Scorpions LA Guns Kenny Wayne Shepard ZZ Top and a bunch more. Wasn't as fun as it sounds. Mostly nice people, and mostly boring as piss. But I was there and have the photos to prove most of it. Usually, they are regular guys making their livings with music, and people think it is the DREAM job. Just like when people think PORN is the dream job. Go figure. |

I know one concert that I can't wait to see, Bon Jovi and Chris Daughtry in Anaheim in April. One of our friends and his wife have a meeting down in San Diego, so they asked us to join them, so when I saw the concert listed, I couldn't miss out on that.
