I need to make the blog roll links open in a new window, Can that be done??

When you define the link in the blogroll, just go to the "target" dropdown box on the right and choose "blank".

On the Add Link page you can see a box in the right labeled 'Target'. That's where you make the selection. _blank (for links to open in a new window) .
