Huge Ron Paul Rally at Stetson University

I live pretty close to Stetson University (which is Florida's First Private University)

I just drove by and I couldn't believe all the people at the Ron Paul rally!

Ron Paul is going to nail the younger generations vote by a longshot IMO.

:thumbsup :thumbsup

Cheers,
BV

Several hundred. (Which is unheard of for this area)

I also have been seeing Ron Paul signs popping up all by themselves, no other signs around from other candidates.

He is becoming very popular around here.

Free beer draws big crowds.

A vote for Ron Paul is a vote for Scooby Doo

gee...a radical is popular at a small time university.

didn't see that coming. he'll be a real threat when 19 year olds rule the planet.

dissipate 12-27-2007 08:30 PM

I like the guy, but he's got a snowballs chance in hell.

No, but Stetson University does use a Stetson Hat in their logo.

Well Stetson is far from a "small time college", granted it's not UF or FSU but 90% of the people that go to to UF or FSU wouldn't be able to get into Stetson, much less afford it. :2 cents:

Keep thinking that, but if you like him vote for him.

my point was that metallica would be better recieved at a metal concert than a senior citizens center.

it shouldnt be suprised that 19-20yr olds support him... they know nothing about the world or politics or the issues... they only know that they should rebel against authority and the man and Ron Paul represents that to them.

they know nothing about the practical issues and aren't basing their "support" on whether or not he is a man that can best represent the US to the world, deal with the complex issues that other candidates are promising to deal with, much less even actually possess the ability to get anything done as a president.

lol.... you are a RP stalker my friend. I think 19 year olds have a much better handle than you do. The issues in this election are much more salient to these "kids" than to you or I.

Iraq - Social Security - out of control public debts - looming financial crisis

I am set. My kids college educations are paid for if they choose to go. If social security fails my life style will not be altered very much. Point is, they have more to lose than I.

That's probably not the case for Stetson Alumni:

Stetson University hosts the nation's first and oldest college-level Model United States Senate program every year in March. Each year, students from colleges and universities around the nation gather at Stetson University for this three-day event. The Model U.S. Senate reproduces the actual procedures and activities of the United States Senate in an effort to provide experience and education for the student participants. Each student is assigned a Senator in one of five legislative committees. Each committee is responsible for researching a variety of bills and crafting appropriate amendments. In addition, the Model Senate attracts national speakers and lecturers, including former and sitting United States Senators.

Just wait 2-3 weeks and see what these Ron Paul critics have to say about his big primary turnouts. Even if he is in top 3 in Iowa or NH it refutes everything the critics have said about him being a longshot and waste of a vote.

Vote for Ron Paul!

notoldschool 12-27-2007 10:27 PM

Shit I live in Tampa and I have not seen 1 single sign or bumper sticker for any candidate except for Ron Paul. I see signs on every major highway, interstate, and even saw a whole highway worth get taken down after a day.
its wierd to not see one single other candidates sign. makes me think they know something we dont know. Like they can save their money because its all ready over. I hope im wrong.

funny at how you can get so annoyed at someone you think is so inferior and "uneducated"

the truth must hurt. but don't worry... after he loses the bid for the nomination, you can quickly shift from mindless support of a non-candidate to blindly bashing republicans to feel better about yourself.

meanwhile, the world will keep turning on its axis and the world will never remember who you supported and why.
