i e-mailed them a few hours ago, they told me that i shuld return it, there thinking that it might have been some type of mistake, the check might have or should have been a lot more, just a digit missing...

they send me checks for 20 or so dollars, it costs $12 to cash them (referral income)

targetpoint.com - I once signed up, got like 4 clicks or something and just left it at that. Then like a month later I got a check for like $0.28 or something haha. Whats the point? The paper used to write the check probrably cost more.

It's normal for any company to send out checks when they have to, even if the value of the check is so low that it costs money to cash that check. Otherwise, accounting systems simply will not balance. You can ask an accountant to be sure, but chances are if they sat on that money, they might end up having to pay tax on it as if it were income, when in reality its not.

I can't believe we are destroying the Amazon with $3 checks. Damn :(

Sounds like a mistake, but you can't argue with a company that sends you checks. The said they'd look into it and fix it even, so what is the drama?

Cory W 12-27-2007 11:12 AM

End of the year? I bet they were clearing checks for financial purposes. Not that uncommon.

For months I got a 4 page Invoice from MCI showing a 1 cent credit. I finally got tired of it and called them and told them to quit sending it, they said the only way they could do that, was for me close my account and they would send me a check for 1 cent. So I did, and sure enoguh they did.
