FACT: John handled the NATS hack situation like an idiot.

Instead of hiring a good PR manager to write a coherent statement to address the situation, he spent several days arguing with trolls, threatening people with lawsuits and flinging poo back and forth.

He would have been much better off just keeping his mouth shut. (After posting a well written statement and emailing it to his customers).

The way he handled the situation was highly unprofessional. No wonder it spiraled out into a total clusterfuck.

Those people who are blaming minusonebit for making it so public need to understand that John too, greatly contributed to it by his lack of professionalism.

You honestly think it matters what he would have said. I doubt it, once he was targeted it didnt matter. What i do notice is this though, John has fell silent (evidence he has spoke to lawyers) Minusonebit hasnt, AND ANY GOOD LAWYER would have told him to shut the fuck up.

Its pretty evident that minusonebit does this as a hobby. Look at his sites and life, one big long ass whaaaamburger.

I really hope he isnt the kk from indiana that is a school teacher, they are gonna be choked to find out a high school teach is sucking dicks and making gay webpages for a hobby.

No, John pushed an industry that already had a dislike for him (due to the situation mostly).

Minusonebit is taking it to as many places as he can to make the entire world hate all of us.

If you can't see the difference in that, then you're more retarded than I thought.

John essentially baited minusonebit.

Just like all you idiots do by starting dozens of threads about him and giving him attention.

He is doing it out of the attention you give him. Did you see how pissed he was when LA Times dropped his name from the article?

And for the record, I think minusonebit is an idiot. I'm in no way standing up for him. I'm pointing something out.

I agree, pity is it took an idiot to stand up to the John supporters. Other boards are not so kind.

The bitter truth is John tried to cover it up or ignore the fact he was hacked.

In his recent statement I believe he lied.

Quote:

"We believed we had a way of knowing which clients were affected, and we contacted them immediately," he wrote. "Apparently, we were wrong. ... If we had known that the issue was more widespread, we would have, without question, contacted everyone."
Have any of the these clients stepped forward to say they were warned? OK if they have I have not seen them.

The matter of spam on unique emails submitted only on NATS sponsors had been brought to John, he said the problem was with the sponsors program, even when presented with proof it was his program he tried to quash the truth getting out. He admits he threatened the send C&D notices.

What ever TMM did to fix this, when confronted with the facts they had been compromised, was sadly very very inadequate. As the last week proved.

The problem here is too many have a vested interest in getting this problem swept aside, rubbishing Minusonebit and me when we bring these facts up is easier than facing the possibility TMM are fools or worse.
