Once again reminded how good The Ramones were...
 

I recently picked up The Ramones - Anthology and though I've always been a fan, I've been listening to it non-stop and was reminded just how good they were...their songs were simple in structure and had a really stripped-down basic feel, but damned if they weren't catchy...

You can still hear their influence on musicians today...all of the MTV "punk" bands should be sending them fat royalty checks every month (well, to whoever owns rights to their catalog now anyways ;-))

I like them, i can appreciate their music but it will never be one of my favourite bands. Just cannot really get into their music.

i saw "rock'n roll highschool" on tv when i was like 13 or 14 - and immediately went out to buy the LP. bought lots more later and they're still one of my favourite bands. just last year i picked up the movie on DVD - still a great laugh
