Nats is now the best affiliate software than ever before you know why???

I once new a very wealthy guy that had a limo driver. One day the limo driver locked the keys in the car when they had a flat and then had no spare tire either, the wealthy guys friend said wow looks like your gonna have to find a new limo driver. The wealthy guy said are you kidding me now at least I don't have to worry about this happening again, a new driver would be way more likely to screw up than somebody that has lived and learned. Besides I bet he will work 10X harder now as well. SAME IS TRUE WITH NATS!!!!

Don't be afraid of the company that has screwed up be afraid of the company that hasn't. With all the damn people that use Nats I'm sure stuff is always going to come up but at least they have a strike against them which means they are under the radar which benefits nobody but us. Do you really think nats is going to let anything like this ever happen again after this mess.

That is a great bed time story but isn't pratical in real life. This isn't in reply to NATS in particular but in general... If someone fucks up, sure they are likely not to make THAT SAME mistake again, but there are millions of other mistakes they can make.

In your example the driver might make sure to always have a spare tire in the future but that doesnt mean he can forget to put money in the meter and have the limo towed, or run a red light that he missed because he was on his cell phone and they got in an accident, etc...

I would hope no one would make the same mistake twice but you are better off going with companies or people who don't make mistakes period. And if they do you have to really look at why the mistake happened and how negligent they were. It's a mentality, its procedures, its how you opperate your business, it's not as simple as saying " opps, now we know not to do that again".

i am pretty sure the last time you posted that I brought up the example of Jack in the Box selling hamburgers that had bad meat and lots of people got sick and some died. Yeah I am sure that was great press for them. I bet their sales went up the next day :upsidedow

While 80 - 90% of bad press could be used in a good way, its definetly not the case 100% of the time. Also "any press" tends to be better for companies with a small market share who is just trying to get their name out there. In the case of NATS this is bad press. They already had a nice share of the market and the people who didn't use them knew about them. Do you really see this turning out to be " good press " for them. What do you think more people will start using them now then people who will stop because of this.

I think it was you, it could have been some one else. But every time people say there is no such thing as bad press it really makes me shake my head and laugh. neive.

Ok well if you have to use Microsoft you have to but if there were another PC company that could compete yes I would trust microsoft over the other company after a major screw up. Microsoft just flat out sucks but yes same could be said for them, I'm sure microsoft as learned a lot from their mistakes.

Apparently not -- take a look at Vista lately? :pimp

I've been using alternative OSs to Windows for years and have found the responses from other vendors, or projects, to be much more respectable than that of Microsoft. But this is all irrelevant to the topic.

What you say is correct about NATS, They will most likely get out of this mess. Unless, of course, some other developer comes out with a decent (or technically superior) piece of software and aims to capitalize on the pitfalls of TMM. This forum drama and bad media attention isn't a big help.

But good luck to all parties involved. It is all business at the end of the day and I hate to see anyone lose their livelihoods.:2 cents:

WTF are you talking about. WiredGuy said there is no such thing as bad press. I disagreed and gave examples why.

Sorry if you want someone to tell you everything is ok blah blah blah and bullshit you don't read my post. If you want the honest truth then read my post. I am not bashing anyone. Last I checked WiredGuy was a person and I wasn't bashing him.

You say all i do is bash companies, please elaborate more on that. What companies have I bashed that you think didn't deserve it ? Rude.com ?

There is a lot of people who blow each other and their companies here. So don't worry there is plenty of people making posts about companies that do good things. I prefer to focus on the ones that are doing harm. My choice, don't read my posts if it bothers you.

oh never mind i see what prompted your to reply. I called your story a " bed time story" that wasn't practical in the real world. My bad, i guess you would rather hear. "Awesome story man I agree 110%!!!! :thumbsup "

sorry dude thats not my style. I actually tell people what i think. Take it for what is worth but no need to take it personal.

All I'm saying will is I have never seen you post a thread about anything else other than bitching and complaining, I'm sure I could be wrong but if I were to meet you at a show I would remember you only as the guy that likes to bitch and complain. I still like you but you just got that title stuck on you.

Microsoft has never given a shit though due to having little to no competition that they can't crush with the might of their marketing or just buy outright. NATs on the other hand isn't in that position and so this mess will strengthen them internally, if and only if they have the strength to withstand the shit storm and the decreased revenue they are sure to experience for awhile.

While will76 is correct that there are 1000s of other mistakes that can be made, you can be sure that NATs is in a far better position than any other company to plug up their particlar mistake than any of the other companies.. In addition, they'll be taking a much harder look at all surrounding issues with a knowledge that other companies don't have and thus will be able to plug up some other holes.. All in all, NATs WILL likely be more secure from this specific type of mistake/hole than other companies that haven't experienced it. That's the point. And no.. I don't like NATs.. but it's not in my best interest for them to be destroyed because of this.

Just think of all the programs out there that have custom software and so we never hear about their breeches.

He used to only post defending or saying how great ClickCash/iFrends is... He stopped doing that maybe a year ago when he seemed to start shifting his business away from them, or at least diversifying away from them... which in itself is hillarious given he used to make statements saying how that was stupid given you could be making so much more money send ALL your traffic to iFriends...

since you seem to care or think you know. I still send 95% of my traffic to clickcash. I didn't shift my business away from. I stopped replying to idiots here who were bashing them because there was a lot less posts being made about them. What is hillarious is that every thing you posted is 100% wrong but you think you have it all figured out.

I only posted defending them up till a year ago? about this time a year ago i had 8,000 or so post. Gross exageration?

I don't know where you get yoru info from but I think you need a better source. Christ you are funny posting that shit like you t hink you know what the fuck you talking about.

lol easy way to prove it to you, if i cared what you had to say about me i wouldn't be adding you to ignore. If i ever reply to you i will pay you $200 bucks. Since you think the only posts i ever made here up untill a year ago was to defend clickcash and obviously i have nothing usefull to say then i am sure you wont care if i reply to you or not anymore. Reply if you like but i wont be responding. I have more imporant things than to argue with people who think they knew my business better than i do. :2 cents:

Anyone else thinks this bullshit about me please let me know.

Wtfent has a very valid point and I agree, when a person screws up they become wiser. They should learn from the lesson and become stronger.

However if the "driver" blamed me for leaving the keys in the car, asked for my lawyers address because I was spreading "mis information", told me he had fixed the tyre, when he had not and could not prove he did not leave the keys in the car on purpose.

I might be thinking it's time I learned the lesson.

Of course if I had an ulterior motive for keeping him on, like I did not want the aggro of changing systems or might lose passengers I might try to put a brave face on it.
