One thing puzzles me: American society seems to hang on lawsuits for some reason. It's almost a part of life it seems.

How many times haven't we seen people getting sued over the most
ridiculous bullcrap.

How many times haven't we seen people post on here things like: "Sue the bastard". Hell..every NATS-thread has at least one "I'll sue you" post in there.

The thing is: this whole sue-ing business supports on the constitutional rights Americans have. And if there's one thing the Americans are full of, it's talking/bragging about the constitution.

So,taking this back to Minusonebit, it puzzles me why everybody is so biased in this case. Okay, it doesn't realy puzzle me as I can understand.

But his basic right is to start a lawsuit. If this would have been about downloading MP3's you'd hear everbody say: Go for it.

He has a right to start a lawsuit, maybe with merit, maybe not. Time will tell.

So how come everbody goes all whack when some guy excersises his constitutional rights?

Because he postet webmasters info in he`s blog. So coming in on all this and talk "justice" ect jsut gives a really bad taste for most. Has he not done that with all the webmaster info it would look a bit different now i think.

Yes, he's deliberatly sabotaging the industry's reputation among the public, wich is already in a bad state.

I agree that there are lots of questions to be answered from John as why there wasn't anything done sooner, but this has to STAY in the industry.

If major news channel pickup the fact that info from most porn consumers got hacked in, this will definitly hurt sales for all of us. The people won't make a difference if it's their email or CC # getting stolen.

I never said this industry has a good rep, far from it, but from what he said, he's been sending out press releases everywhere about the security problem... I don't think that will acheive anything other then destroy the industry reputation. There is nothing positive comming out of it.

People won't make any difference between credit card numbers and emails when they hear that personal information from most memberships have been leaking for months.
