She's a nice girl...when my nephews came to stay with me one weekend she introduced herself to them and took them to play at the local park and pool.

I talk to her parents from time to time, they seem like nice enough people...but I don't know how they would react to me buying a gift for their daughter...some people are just paranoid like that...especially when i concerns their kids.

Then you shouldn't have bought it. Give the ipod to one of your nephews and save yourself some trouble.

Thats good but isnt it sad that you have to be so paranoid around children. I remember as a kid, a adult would come by and say what a cute kid or what a good boy and give me a pinch on the cheek or a pat on the head.No one thought nothing of it. Now a days I wont touch a child.

So true.. I grew up in a place... and time where everyone looked after everyone's kids.. I enjoyed talking with the adults.. Went hunting with the neighbor man.. fishing with another one.. talked alot to the moms.. and such..

Being grown now.. I enjoy talking with young people.. They are interesting to listen to, but I have to watch myself because of the current attitudes toward it all..

I wouldn't buy anything for a neighbor's kid period. Why give something when you don't have to? Only give when you are forced to, like close family or when you know the other person is going to give you something so you have to give something back. Keep ipod for yourself or give it to your nephews.
