How are your Lightspeedcash rebills?

I just signed up with Lightspeedcash and read their bulletin board and their seems to be alot of people whining about rebills and shaving. I have only heard good things about lightspeedcash can anyone tell me if they have trouble with rebills or not?
Thanks

People are stupid. They promote some revshare site for a week and expect to see results already.

People suck.

amadman 09-27-2002 11:34 PM

I know its taboo to talk badly about them around here but here is my experience.

I never seen rebills as a strength with them. This weakness was offset with low su ratios on sites with no trial prices. But for me the su's seemed to drop after the first processor change. So I pretty much cut back on promoting them at that time.

In fact I just checked my stats and since the change I have sent 4900 uniques and only received 1 sign up. Granted those hits are stretched out thin over time and I will never be called a marketing guru but 1:4900 is still over 7 times my older ratio before any of the changes.

But then again this is just my experience and many others swear buy them. So just like with any sponsor you should feel them out yourself and see how they do for you.

421Fill 09-28-2002 02:31 AM

they have rebills??? I knew I was doing someting wrong...

Bake 09-28-2002 02:58 AM

They would have to be one of the best recurring sponsors I have ever used. I think recurring has a bit to do with the sale in the first place ,If you feed the surfer a bunch of BS and they dont find what your sales said the site had they will get pissed and leave.

Naughty 09-28-2002 05:24 AM

I heard their parties are good though:winkwink:

Well they're fairly expensive for one thing, might be why you're not seeing a whole lot of rebills.. $35 is a lot of money to regular people.. :) I'm sure it's worth it with ls-university.com and those, but the "single-girl amateur" ones are also 35 bucks as far as I can tell.. I don't see how a lot of peeps would be sticking around month after month on these, even with all that bonus stuff they throw in.

Nina's site almost doubled in price since she went with them, would be interested to know how her old fans reacted to that, or if they're still paying the old fee.

heymatty 09-28-2002 08:02 AM

Must be paying the same price, you can't raise the price without the customers knowledge.

Carrie 09-28-2002 08:03 AM

Probably still paying the old fee. You don't screw loyal long-time members like that.
On MaxCashLive last Monday night Mikefold Gold mentioned that he's been a member of one amateur site for nearly 5 years now, and although her price has gone up to $19.95, he's still paying the original $7.95 that he signed up under.

A few comments.

1. It's not taboo to say anything negative about anyone as long as it's not a blind attack. For god's sakes, enough people say negative things about my sites around here.

2. I'm in their program, but haven't been long enough to gauge rebills. That said, I like their program.

3. I bet they rebill more than many other programs on average. But many people compare a partner program with per-signup programs, where you don't see the rebills and your payout is subsidized by exit traffic, cross-sells, etc.

Those are the reasons I mainly choose partner programs over per-signup ones. Also I may be kind of spoiled because over time I have fished out a few programs that do recure pretty well.

I can say that their sites did do well for me and even with low rebills they were my #2 sponsor for some time. But since the changes they are far from my top and I currently don't activly promote them.

Troels 09-28-2002 11:57 AM

If anyone has some cheerleader traffic and want to try something new, we're looking for some beta-testers for our webmaster-program. You can promote cheerleaders.com in that program + some 20 other sites (different niches).
The program will become available to the masses in a few weeks.

I think you said the keyword, whining. That is all it is. I have been with LS from almost the start, I do very well with them. Always have. They have a likeable front end from the surfers standpoint.
As for the inside of the sites, everyone, grade-A professional.

I don't see why a webmaster can do bad with this program, unless they are not being totally upfront and honest with the surfers.

^R3K^ 09-28-2002 12:47 PM

I have pushed lightspeed pretty steady for about a year now maybe longer..

I can honestly say, I have never had a problem, that I did not get an answer within a hour and it was fixed.

Now money..
I still get rebills for 7 months ago, and not one or two, several..
They convert on a average of 1:135 for me and that is steady.. on all types of traffic.

Take a look at thier tours study them, they have been designed to convert, and match the page your sending the surfers from to thier tours..

Also i have been suprised on how thier new Amateur sites have been doing.. really great!

All in all one of the best sponsors i have ever used, and some of the best people i have ever met in person..

:thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup

Wizzo 09-28-2002 01:11 PM

From what I understand their rebill rate is quite high, compared to the industry standard...

With that said, if you're looking for 100% or even 80% rebills good luck! I think you will find even with 40 or 50% rebills, you will make alot more money in the long run than with a per sign-up. :winkwink:

Lensman 09-28-2002 08:21 PM

I'm surprised that no one at Lightspeed comments about this thread, I've known them to have great support.

angelsofporn 09-28-2002 08:23 PM

I'm doing 1/1300 with tawnee right now...by far my worst performer. This is 100% targetted SE....Same traffic to ox gets me 20 a day 1/320
Gonna jump ship soon unless it picks up

Socks 09-28-2002 08:52 PM

Your page says your webmasters program becomes available in late august...

BradShaw 09-28-2002 09:54 PM

I am sure they are out marketing, I mean partying somewhere. These guys hit every webmaster event, sure there is something going on somewhere this weekend.

Rebills can be a tough go

Personally what I didn't like after trying it L/S for a bit was the heavy console load they place when the surfer clicks in

honestly there is more than one partnership which converts from trial to full membership, and then recurr a little better than this one

maybe they need to rework the members area a bit?

I haven't found anything better than my main sponsor, I've been using them on all my galleries for a couple years now. Unfortunately usually what happens is someone blabs and every webmaster and their dog goes out and peddles the same thing using the same adverts

the following week someone posts... "why won't this sell?"

The regular webmasters who use the l/s program and have sucess should stick with it, but if you're new and you can't convert, maybe drop them an email, if it still doesn't work out, then move on... common sense?

Aussie Rebel 09-29-2002 11:13 PM

I have been with lightspeed for over a year now and have never had a problem with them, And my rebills are fine:thumbsup

Yea they do, but they have a vacant office right now. Steve, Tanker, and Richard are in Mexico for YNotBob's thing, and Christine and Nate were at Feel Free NYC in NYC, so nobody's home for a few.

That said, I'll let them know about the thread.

my rebills at Lightspeedcash SUCK BIG FAT ASS

I got 40 sign ups and 4 rebills - i shit you not. And this is 100% SE traffic.

x3guide 09-30-2002 08:10 AM

..

Tanker 09-30-2002 10:42 AM

Yes we were out of the office at industry parties in NYC and Mexico we did have all of our tech staff and support here in the office.

Anyone concerned about there convertions feel free to contact me about it

Tanker at Lightspeedcash.com

some people do see low convertions
try using text straight from the tour most people that dont convert are selling tawneestone as a hardcore site just the other day I had a guy complain and when I looked at his sites to help him find the problem his text was talking about see tawnee fuck 5 guys at once.

If you sell a car as a 8 cylinder and when the buyer gets in and drives off the lot and it has only 6 he is going to return it too

this goes for all our sites and any other companies sites

you cannot bait and switch the surfer he will cancel or chargeback everytime if you do this

once again if you need help contact me

Tanker

Yes, I deleted a few personal attacks, some inaccurate and obsolete posts, and a couple duplicate posts.

So what, the majority of comments are still there. I don't censor our webmaster board

10% Rebills seems to be the norm these days. Myself and another guy are doing another big program and it is truly sucking ass. I will give it one more month to see total rebills.

I want to clarify the term "conversions". When I started out a conversion was a guy who went from a trial to a full membership.
Does conversion now mean any sale?

BradShaw 09-30-2002 01:08 PM

10% is not the norm, 30-40% is.
