Why do so many sponsors offer PROMOS this week?

100 per signup
150 per signup
80 when they usually pay 30...

I have got like 30 emails from sponsors today, telling me to send my traffic between dec 21 and dec 28 and get huge revenues in each sale.

What's the catch? Are signups during holidays really that low?

I suppose they do a study of the market and they guess signups are very low this time of year and thus offer their souls to get a sale. Or am I wrong?

Because that's XMAS :)

Lamis 12-22-2007 07:29 AM

Hm.. well, I already know that lol...

But that was not my question.. I am asking if they offer these PROMOS with HUGE revenues in each sale, because sales are usually low at this time of year????

That was my question.. lol.. I know it's xmas and new year..

Because that's what is it all about in Christmas. Giving.

And also due competition of course.

bacause it is soon no longer now.........

Probably to give sales a boost and motivate those who might take off this time of year.

It's all about writeoffs at this time of the year for many companies. So they don't mind losing money if it will help them during tax time.

because the more traffic that affiliates send with a snowballs chance in hell of making a sale, the more money they'll make with the exit traffic they sell to someone else. :1orglaugh

No, but really, figure if couple big sponsors have promos, then makes the others sort of have to so they don't lose traffic, so they compete and try to up one better than the other & come up with an equal or better promo..

Sure sales are slower, but they gotta get more traffic to make up for it I guess

Sales are notoriously slow around Christmas and traffic tends to fall off as well. I feel they're willing to risk overpaying on sales to get webmasters to add links and banners to their sites. In the long run they get more traffic because a lot of those links and banners will remain after the promo.

You'll know when sponsors start running 100% revshares and $200 PPS days that sales are sluggish and surfers are not buying... don't pay attention to the ones popping in saying "My sales are double this week than they normally are!" - their lying :)

What are all the horny men going to do while the women are cooking and the kids are playing with those obnoxiously loud toys they just got? They are going to go into their bedrooms and look at porn, of course.... lmao
