I am no Donny Long, but (pics)
I am no Donny Long, but I figured you would accept my apologies for the lack of watermarks on these photos. I shot these ladies this evening, as part of our upcoming launch on a new site. They are screencaps, sorry about that, not the usual polished photos you are accustomed to. I hope their genuine enthusiasm makes up for it. These are for the amateur niche, if you can't see that for yourself. :)

Strapon and no pimples on the asses? That's no good ... heh

Next up should be a POV shot with ME in the middle. . . Maybe next week. :) |
what the fuck did I start with this Donny Long shit...
|
I don’t like the guy either. He had some over exposed photos to show, watermarks splattered, BUT his girls where a lot hotter than these trailer park trash.

Regardless, his watermarks suck. I suspect, at this point, even he might agree with that. I am sure he will get that fixed soon. |

My first thought is to not rely on screen captures, but instead to shoot with a decent DSLR instead for stills. Also, here are some small tweaks of your first photo. I am not a big fan of auto anything, but I will sometimes start with the auto functions in Photoshop or ImageReady. 1. Here is with auto contrast: http://www.asiandivagirls.com/gfy/temp/contrast.jpg 2. Here is with auto levels: http://www.asiandivagirls.com/gfy/temp/levels.jpg 3. Here is with 30 seconds of tweaking using the droppers for white, grey and black, and other slider adjustments. I also cropped the photo and removed the flash bounce back: http://www.asiandivagirls.com/gfy/temp/tweaked.jpg Invest in a good set of lights as soon as you can afford to. Good luck... :thumbsup ADG |
ADG knows his stuff..nice touch ups and sexy pix

ADG,
Thanks for the tips. I have wrestled with this a little. I want to stay squarely in the amateur niche, and have been considering some Kino canisters. Is it possible for me to be TOO pro with a good setup? I do not want to ever come off as a pro shooter, but hope to attain a quality level that DOES set us apart from the usual amateurs. Any thoughts would be appreciated. |

Most surfers would have assumed that your original photo, and my touched up version of your photo, are both in the amateur niche - unless the photos were placed side by side for them, they would think nothing of it. The setting and style of shooting say more about your pix than anything else. For me, "amateur" should convey the model's personality over the photographer's stylings. There is also nothing wrong with progressing from amateur to pro-am. Your fan base will actually appreciate it and still follow you, as you pick up even more fans with your new found/developed skills. Content is only a part of the equation. To me, marketing is an even greater factor in your success at making money in this industry. :2 cents: ADG |

Thanks mockba, but the owned graphic does not really apply here. At leat I don't think so. ADG can certainly tell us, if it DOES. Believe it or not, some people do learn things here, and not just post dumbass gif's like your OWNED one. I think ADG was very generous in offering valuable input to a fellow biz professional, and I certainly appreciate it. He took the time to run a few photos through programs to show me what is possible and should be done before posting or offering them for surfers and/or resellers. And he was right on the money. I actually love this sort of critique. If that makes me owned, I hope to be owned repeatedly until I have a bank account that ends with ,000,000,000. Best wishes! |

I owe a great deal to the many people that have helped me along in this biz over the years, and I do also try to give back when I can to people whom I believe will appreciate it. No way do I think I am an expert at anything I do, but I have been around long enough, that hopefully I have learned a few things and benefitted from the tips given to me by people that tried to help. If I can pass along something helpful once in awhile, I am happy... ADG |
i think you should find another model. they are not that hot!! imho
|
I like it!! its cool because it looks like they want to be there. it doesn't look like you payed them. That is a big market.
If you ever have any questions ask me and i will point you in the right direction. Donny does. I got no secrets and lots of tricks for lighting. I can use 1 sun bounce out side all the way up too 12 Pro photo strobe heads to capture what i want. The trick is be open to constructive criticism and have fun. I do.. I got friends that are even sicker than me, we always compare our pics. Not to be better, but to get better. ICQ me anytime dude!! And thats for anybody that ever has a tech question. I am easy, ask donny.. Ask AMA Joe. lol |
