WOW... I almost promoted a website with like 25 traffic leaks...

I was just about done with my blog posting for:

http://www.teenplanetcandid.com/

And it was time to get some facts on the site. Then I see a looooong list of traffic leaks running down the right side of the screen.

So I chucked that post and found 5 other sites with ZERO leaks to promote instead...

I love happy endings!

Ohh... and the sites I found where from surfing his leaks.. haha

V_RocKs 12-21-2007 01:31 AM

Annnnnnnnnnnd.... Half of the sites running down the side are closed...

jscott 12-21-2007 01:43 AM

thats how the candid niche works, unfortunately that is normal for that niche

V_RocKs 12-21-2007 02:14 AM

Stupid idea... makes the paysites into paysites and the promo sites into promo sites...

Evil E 12-21-2007 02:36 AM

I've seen candid sites charges as low as 10 bucks per month before.

Why would you risk promoting a site that is not 2257 compliant and potentially breaches copyright and use of model likeness for commercial purposes laws?

</rhetorical_question>

V_RocKs 12-21-2007 04:48 AM

Money???

Iron Fist 12-21-2007 05:02 AM

Traffic leaks suck... :(

tranza 12-21-2007 05:57 AM

That's just lame...

BVF 12-21-2007 07:31 AM

Shouldn't you have looked at the site before you even signed up to promote it?

DVTimes 12-21-2007 08:26 AM

check the webmaster affiliate link as often sites have a different front page for webmasters to send hits to.

SomeCreep 12-21-2007 08:31 AM

There are some pay sites out there that don't really care if webmasters promote them or not, but throw up an affiliate program anyway. Often times, pay sites with that mentality will have a "Links" page on their main tour where they link to other sites, i.e. have many traffic leaks.

Or they take the time out to make a traffic leak free tour for affiliate traffic.....

Yep, in a perfect world, that's the way it would be. All the sponsor has to do is copy their tour, remove the "Links" page, and put the modified tour in a different directory. Affiliates could then link to that tour and the traffic leak problem is solved.

yup, those are the smart pay site operators that know affiliates fucking suck these days, so they build up traffic themselves

FreeHugeMovies 12-21-2007 09:21 AM

I hate companies with traffic leaks

V_RocKs 12-24-2007 06:19 AM
