A possible solution to the illegal tube sites
There's got to be lots of webmasters with some big sites who's sick of the big tube sites taking the sales away on a daily basis..
What happened to the good old image tag trick?... Why not arrange for all the big TGPs to image tag the heaviest pages of these fuckers, all at the same time... bringing the bitches to their knees.. |
Yup, i did that in the past to some people who ripped off my site and it worked :)
|
Good idea, not enough details.. Reorganize this into an attack on a single overly illegal site first, see if you can get enough donators
|
Bahahahahahahahahaahahah, that's fucking awesome. No, really it is.
You think you're going to use more bandwidth linking their images than them linking thousands of gigs of movies directly? Even if every admin at a host is fucking retarded and doesn't know how to stop hotlinking, you still wouldn't even be a blip on the radar bandwidth wise. Bring them to their knees? Again, Bahahahahahahahahhaaha. Tell me you didn't think this all the way through and that's why it's such a silly idea. Please don't have actually thought it through and still come up with this as a viable solution. Think first, really consider your ideas, then post them. |
Tube site must have unlimited bandwith...
|
What about a script that embeds a bunch of movies and plays them looped from dedicated servers indefinitely? Give out the script, get some people doing it?
|
Wouldn't that just boost their alexa rank?

You're basically suggesting a DDOS attack on tube sites, but going about it the entirely wrong way. If you want to make an impact on their service, you're better off doing something that will increase server load, such as hitting a page that runs alot of mysql queries repeatedly... |
Wouldn't a tube site be basically a server with uncapped, burstable 200 Mbps pipe? Like mentioned earlier.. DDOSing them wouldn't really solve anything...people are willing to accept some wait time for free crap.
|
Here's an idea:
Instead of doing something that might get you in trouble and will not stop the illegal sites; spend your time trying to come up with something better than illegal tube sites. For example: try a "legit" tube site that shows mpgs and wmvs which are much better quality than flv files. Maybe the surfer goes for your better quality. |

One legal tube site I know the owner of, an Alexa top 1000 site (just barely) uses 4000Mbits per second. :2 cents: |
Programs/Webmasters with big sales are using tubes to help reach those big sales. Wake up people.
|
I think lawsuits are more effective.

second, only a moron would think that image sourcing a free video site with the intent of hurting them by increasing their bandwidth, makes sense. thats pure comedy gold. |

Haha. DDOS a tube site and you will be the one to go to jail.
Dont bother. Find legal ways to put them down. |

maybe what we are looking at here is your ignorance of the issue? |

TGPs are killing the industry.
