It's time for a new computer and I need your input!
 

My now old Acer Ferrari is half way out the door so to speak :( Any thoughts that can help me decide what to choose? I'm leaning towards IMac or MacBookPro , but i have Never used a Mac. Why I'm thinking of Mac is that they are on top of every laptop review I've read. And since I'm working almost exclusively with encoding videos, design & photo retouching I thought a Mac would be a perfect fit for me. The "only" problem I have is that I have no friends using a MAC, I have no means of trying before buying, so I would really value any thoughts you guys might have on the subject.

I use a dual-processor mac G4 tower and I LOVE it! :thumbsup

mac pro. wouldn't use anything else.

it's different at first, but you'll grow to love it. leopard is a little wonky on older systems, but it's a brand new os, so they'll patch it up.

I second that. I have a mac book and i wouldn't use anything besides a mac unless you are into gaming.

My brother got a pretty good deal from dell.com.

Maybe look into having a friend build one(If you cant do it yourself)? I build my own. Ill never purchase a PC again due to the fact that I get enjoyment from building them, and I can do it for half the price if not less.
