Porn is DEAD...

Adult webmasters are dead and buried...

http://nsfw.reddit.com/

2 clicks, from an otherwise VERY mainstream site: reddit, owned by condenet/wired, gets you to a 9 minutes briana banks hardcore anal movie, in an ok-ish resolution streaming flash video,
http://www.pornhub.com/view_video.ph...a8025b93e6803e

then you have others like
http://www.pornhub.com/view_video.ph...ca8143a2933df7

if you have that for free, so easily, who's gonna buy a membership? :disgust

Iron Fist 12-19-2007 11:03 PM

Can't afford membership.. sorry. Got a link to a torrent?

td690 12-19-2007 11:03 PM

its getting harder and harder with these tubes out there :(

well duh, yes mr semantics, PORN as in porn webmaster, adult webmaster, adult 'industry?' whatever-the-fuck you want to call it as in selling porn, we as porn webmasters are dead as long as sites like these give it all away for free, and no, it's not like the old 'tgps give it all away' speech, this time it is seriously affecting business.

My comment had nothing to do with making a living from porn. However, I've made quite a nice living promoting unpaid porn (cams).

You people talk about torrents like it's super common thing. Hell I've never used a torrent, not fucking sure WTF it really is. I know damned sure the vast majority of internet uses are even more ignorant of torrernts and how to use them. Most people can't even edit their MySpace page without going to some "pimp my profile" site and copying code. Even then they fuck that up. When it comes to computers and the internet most people are retarded. The type of surfers that uses torrents was never going to buy anyways.

Do you know how mnay ignorant fucks click ads that appear on search resluts pages thinking they are actual results? Or click on adsense ads on sites thinking they are a part of the site? That's the type of surfer I'm going after.

I agree... and whilst some traffic may be lost to tube and torrent sites, there are still going to be more than enough surfers kicking around the SEs than I'm ever going to be able to corner.

shermo 12-20-2007 01:45 AM

People will pay for quality... Tube sites don't offer high quality. Bottom line is that if a person sees a site he/she likes, they will join just for the sheer convenience of not having to hop from torrent site to torrent site, while sifting through shit, blinking ad's, animated gif's going nuts and popup consoles.

Worse comes to worse, we all evolve. If sponsors control the largest torrent sites, than some serious steering of surfers can be done.

Besides...This is the same rhetoric we've been hearing since thumbnail preview tgp's were introduced.

Exactly. I made a lot of money last year from ClickCash. But my traffic source dried up, and now I have switched to blogs. I don't know if promoting ClickCash via a blog is going to work as well or not.

Im going to have to diagree here. Most ppl above 30 may not know how to use the web or heard of torrents, but not the young generation. Over 75% of the young ppl I know change their myspace layouts regularly. This is slightly tougher than login into a site, searching, and downloading a torrent. The internet is cool, particularly to the young population, so they need to keep up to be cool. Geek is in. As more and more ppl come of age, more and more people will discover these free venues of content.

it is only low quality because the technology handicaps it. As technology gets better, rest assure these sites will provide higher quality content and of longer durations. Why not? The money is in the traffic coming in, and they will have to keep upgrading to keep up with others.

I gotta agree there too. I started using computers seriously at 11, got on the internet when I was 13, and I just turned - 27.

It's not that new anymore, and the generations younger than I am are even more savvy.

2012 12-20-2007 11:34 AM

Exactly, just what you're saying. Day-by-day, more and more will know about the free ones. Few of them will pay for quality.
