Bill Parcells to the Miami Dolphins
He snubbed the Atlanta Falcons and took a 4 year deal with the Miami Dolphins.

ok my bad

i hope we're better next year

Parcells sucks. And I'm a Giants fan. He is too into himself to lead this team beyond a wildcard berth in yr 4 of his contract.
$$$ wasted when it should have been spent on players instead. |
Good move by the fish

you seriously don't think Wade Phillips and Jerry Jones are responsible for where the Dallas Cowboys are today? That's Parcells' team. He is a great talent evaluator but if I was a Dolphin fan I'd feel a lot better if he was going to be on the sideline. |
I was hoping he would go to the Redskins after Gibbs retires this year.
|
and if he got the Dolphins into a wildcard birth in year 4 that would be better than 95% of what others could do with what he's taking over.
i bet he gets them to 5-6 wins next year - year after that 7-8 wins - year 4 he will get 9 or 10 wins and maybe in the playoffs. i dont know what they are going to do with QB - he will bring in a veteran from somewhere who can get them 5 or 6 wins - Trent Green coming back would be insane for Trent Green. Maybe Parcells is patient enough and confident enough to just go with the young QB and suffer another shitty year and get better draft picks. |
He fuckin' SUCKS, is immensely over-rated for everything he has done post-Giants (ie: fucked the PATS!) and frankly I hope the fat fuck chokes on fag-dick on South Beach.
|
he has built past teams up pretty good just never was good as coach since he is a asshole at it
|
Mutt, he isn't going to be the coach. From what I can gather from all the reports he isn't going to be the GM either.
He'll be the guy who hires/fires the coach and GM. His record on talent evaluation isn't as cut and dried as you make it sound. He had that one really good draft with the Jets in 2000, but he had 4 first round picks....kind of hard not to have a good draft in that situation. It's unclear exactly how much power over personnel he had in Dallas. Remember he didn't want Terrell Owens but Jerry Jones signed him anyways. I'm gonna wait for the official announcement and find out what his role is going to be, and what the fate of the current staff is going to be before I pass judgement. PLUS he hasn't signed the contract yet, and he has a history of pulling out of deals at the 11th hour. Who knows how this is all going to shake out. |
