|
no game should take that long
|
the first shooter game I really got into - welcome back and come get some
|
Sweet! Some classics live forever!
|
THERE IS NOT A RELEASE DATE.
There's a teaser trailer. But there was a teaser trailer in 97 too. Don't put ANY money down on this game. It may still have another two years development on it! |

bestbuy dont know when its going to be released, im pretty sure a friend linked me the bestbuy page a long time ago and it said it would be released at some odd date also |
http://digg.com/pc_games/Duke_Nukem_...er_at_Best_Buy
just a example of bestbuy trying to make money off vaporware, when that was on digg over a month ago the release date was 12/01/07.. duke nukem: forever will be a epic failure once its release if ever.. |
It takes forever to make the game, hence the title
|
Looks pretty shitty actually. If they could have got this out in decent form before Half Life 2 it might have been pretty cool. The old original trailer looked like it had a lot of promise back when it was originally released. Unfortunately that was years ago.

Release Date: 2/29/2008
it took them how long to make this game, about 10 years? I'm gonna buy it, I remember Duke Nukem 3D :thumbsup |

Sorry, but this issue fucks me off a lot. Retailers do it all the time. They decide when a product is going to come out, based on ... ZERO information ... and then take your cash. Take the Nintendo Wii for instance ... Preorders were taken on that before release date's officially came from Nintendo ... then when the system hit shelves (on a different date I might add), a lot of people found they couldn't have a system, because when the retailer took preorders, they hadn't even had figures from Nintendo. This has happened with Sony and MS systems too and many other products. Gah. Sorry ... just annoys me. |
Honestly, I hope DNF never gets released, just for the sake of the developers. It's better and less embarassing as vaporware.
|
i thought it was a dead software game personally
|
If it will be finished,i just hope it wont end as daikatana which was also developed for a long time.
In any case, it's time to kick some asses and chew bubble gum,and i am all out of gum. |
this game really won't ever be released
|
i loved that game as a kid.
|
this game was fun as fuck
|
You Wanna Dance?
Oh the memories. |
Has there ever been a game with a longer dev time?

You said there is no release date, there is only a teaser trailer. You completely contradicted what was presented. In other words, you chose your words poorly. Had you said "They actually don't have a release date, Best Buy is just making that up" then perhaps I'd believe you. But you didn't. So either you didn't say what you meant, or you're the one trying to cover your back about something you were wrong about. Gee... I wonder which it could be. :glugglug |
Duke Nukem 3D was released in 1996, damn, 11 years ago
|
Seen this posted somewhere else, not sure if any of it is true, but it sure sounds funny.
Things that have taken less time than Duke Nukem Forever's Development: Pop Culture: The Beatles formed, released every single one of their albums and broke up. During this time they also toured the world several times. Led Zeppelin released 7 albums, 9 singles, and toured around the world, crossing international borders 27 times (not counting mainland Europe.) Science & Technology: The Wright brothers designed and flew the first airplane. The theory of General Relativity. The United States' entire program to put a man on the moon, from Kennedy's challenge to the landing. Wars: The American War for Independence The United States Civil War World War I World War II and the entire Manhattan Project. The United State's involvement in the Vietnam War. |
lol I loved the old duke nukem. Dial into someone else's pc to play against them lol. Or we used to play it over the school network until the principle found out. Atleast we able to play a few months.
That shit was fun with some of the custom maps out there. |

Maybe it could work both ways. But you brought me up on something you really didn't have to, in a pretty rude way... and multiple people told you no :) So actually ... I stand by what I said and how I said it, and that you're wrong :D lol No big deal :) Just read better next time :D ;) :thumbsup |
I think playing DN was my first experience with a stripper... lol
|
How can they possibly make that game profitable? What a super cluster fuck. 11 years? My goodness. I know games slip, but comon.
|
I saw the demo today... looks funny! I REALLY loved the 3D when that came! Played it all the time, and made my own maps and stuff! Damn I spent much time with that game. Tipped those strippers all the time to watch them flash their tits... lol
