divx who has it in their members area?
 

Been looking at divx stuff it looks so good. Was thinking about adding it to my member area.Your thoughts?

Doesn't hurt and might be a selling point for some users. If I had to choose to between wmv, mpg, or divx I'd go for the divx. wmv sucks, especially for non-windows users for the most part. Mpg, although good quality has a shitty file size. Divx you get awesome quality with a smaller size. Like mpg, you get ability to play your videos with ease no matter the OS for the most part. Lots of cross-platform players that don't require you to have downloaded the divx codec.

We offer that format, along with wmv, mpg, and ipod.

Torrent users love that format. :D

dvix/xvid format is way better

there alot of dvd players & dvd recorders from top brands can play divx/xvid

Agreed. I like xvid as well. Clips are really nice if you run them through CleanerXL. But I use primarily DivX. I have not had all the horror stories you hear on gfy from time to time.

At most I get an occasional e-mail every few months (if that), normally from some aol user. I point them to the divx site, tell them to install it, and then REBOOT THEIR MACHINE. That solves it 99% of the time.

I use it...not one problem be sure you link to the free codec

i dont think divx supports members areas for now - they changed something
