I've finally decided to leave London for good. Its just too expensive, too shitty in winter, and too much of an arse ache to get around.

I'm seeing a lot of GFY members in Thailand, Costa Rica, lots of places.


Help me out here, I want somewhere I can either buy a nice apartment for $200k, or rent for a few hundred $ a month, lve in the sun with a decent internets conection, and a decent amount of interesting/cultural stuff to do + good golfing.

Hit me with info/advice, anything goddammit!

I'll tell you what I would do. If I were you I'd go on a kind of shopping trip and check out a few of these places for myself. I'm betting that you'd eventually find one that you really like that fits the bill, then you resettle there.

btw is it true that there's a new Thai policy regarding strangers/tourists - you can't stay over 3 months there within a 6 month period?
I'm going to Bangkok in 10days & staying a bit over a month (phuket/pattaya) so it's not concerning me, but if you plan on spending more time there - doublecheck everything :)

You should consider the Canary Islands because:

- only 4 hours away from UK
- all year round great weather
- low cost of living
- good internet connectivity
- tolerant laws regarding online adult
- outside EU vor VAT purposes
