BCBS raised our rates by about $100 a person starting in January. And we're 2 healthy 20-30 y/o adults that rarely go to the doctor. Ridiculous. I'm checking out Aetna this very second.

For more than 25 years I paid for health coverage. One claim only except for occasional prescriptions. The monthly premiums gradually rose to $533. a month until this year when Blue Cross elected to stop coverage.
Now I'm without coverage, no one wants to even consider me since I am over 50. This is the problem with US health care. A lifetime of payments has no meaning once you reach a certain age. |

I can buy my wife Canadian citizenship for $1,000 at any time. I plan on doing that, so if we ever have problems she can just fly to Canada.
