Seriously though... I've got more than a few friends (mostly in the music end of my biz - whooda figured?!) that talked about sex on E and the feelings, etc... SOunds awfully close to the same things you can bring about with certain meditation techniques and there is no brain damage there. Lasts longer too. TO me drugs are just a lazy way to get lesser versions of experiences you can have with a little work.

I agree with you and I sure as hell don't think anyone can achieve an X-like effect with meditation or any other non drug-induced mental state. Drugs are a higher high .. MDMA goes right for the pleasure center jugular.

Personally, i've quit the drug but it sure as hell felt good when I was doing it.

There's plenty enough true stories of people that have tried nearly any drug and died the first time.

On hand two, drugs are a higher high. They push people to mental and physical states unachievable by any other methods. I'm highly suspicious of people that are "high on life". Well, maybe that is a good attitude to have really but it's not in the same ballpark. Hell, it's not even the same game. You can't get there without going here.

Then, even more complicated - if you're Wrong Person Number 2, you end up addicted with a life-long problem. This could be cocaine, oxy's, alcohol, whatever. A life-long struggle against yourself and your demons.

This is an interesting duality. Extreme pleasure vs. possible death and addiction. Everyone's risk assessment is different and so we end up with different approaches to the problem. Some will win. Some will lose. Some are going to sing the blues.

This comes at no surprise.

You cannot do it too often though, one reason because you will buildup resistance to it, but the more important reason, I believe, is because it does fuck with your brain. - and that's the most precious part of your body - I think :)

Do not do it regularly either - even once a month is too much.

Myself, I'm off to better things these days... Haven't done it in three months - last one was with Paul Oakenfold - WOW! :)

Not planning to do it again anytime soon, though I still enjoy the raves and the music VERY MUCH.
