Have you ever experiences the TETRIS EFFECT?
I've been reading this thread about sleep paralisys: fucking-around-and-business-discussion/792766-dreams.html and did a little research on sleeping disorders.
Have anyone of you ever experienced the tetris effect? |
Holy shit !
I get that. I never knew it was that though. Ah well, all becomes clear... |
Oh, i get the sleep paralisys after taking E's normally.
Doesn't happen as often as it used to though. Pity ! I sometimes enjoyed it... ;-) |

I actually am really, really, really good at Tetris. Like freakishly good.
So, when I use to play more I would have dreams like this all the time. I would literally play a game in my head. But now, I see shapes differently. Like when it comes to packing or organizing boxes and shit I can get it in the most compact space, etc. |
Heehee, who knew that Tetris could improve ones packing skills. But I guess that makes sense if it's forcing you to think spatially all the time. Man, I remember playing Tetris so much that I daydreamed it all the time... drove me kind of nutty.

People get this with pretty much every repetitive, simple task.
Working on a conveyor belt for example in a factory. Mindless, simple, repititive tasks will make you think about it. I had it once where I get a fever after doing some simple stuff for 2 days in a row. It was a very heavy fever and I started to think that I could get better if I just kept doing my task (the one I was doing for 2 days). The faster I would do it, the faster I would get better. |
i'm very much familiar with that game. but with the human tetris, well, i think i can't!
