Blu-Ray player or PS3 for playing BluRay discs?

Blu-Ray player or PS3 for playing BluRay discs? What would you choose? I mean why would I pay for a blu-ray player, sometimes even a bit more, when I can get one plus the games that PS3 offers? Does a standalone blu-ray player offer more in quality than the one of Playstation 3? :)

The PS3 blu-ray player is really good, if not better than most standalones...

I've heard time and time again that a PS3 is the way to go...

if patronizing Sony is for you... which it isn't for me.

They cost about the same, go with the PS3 it rocks!

I think the quality is the same with the Blue Ray video on PS3 and the Blue Ray player standalone, but you can get more features on standalone player.
I would go with Sony PS3

Get the PS3 of course.

You'd be crazy to buy a standalone Blu-Ray player...

Does PS3 have audio output for 7.1 channels?

Sosa 12-16-2007 10:02 AM

ps3 all the way :)

candyflip 12-16-2007 10:36 AM

The PS3 can do 7.1

While it's might not be the "best" gaming system at the moment, it is the best BluRay player with a gaming system at the moment.
