I could eat biscuits and gravy anytime.

It's one of my few guilty pleasures in a low fat diet.

Country Fried Steak > Biscuits and Gravy. :)

Both are delish, though.

My favorite breakfast would have to be something with grits.

i would tend to agree with you, when i find a good fried steak...

theres a truck stop out here that I dont like anything there at all, except they make the best chicken fried steak Ive ever had... dosnt say much... but it IS good, its big and its decent meat... no gristle ...

The same goes for gravy... you have to have good gravy and if you make it from a bag at least add something to it, not just the default mixture...

ok that's all...

If you have flour, salt, lard, milk, pepper, and sausage nowhere is there not bisquits and gravy not available. Though quality will really depend on whom can make you those bisquits as yes the ingrediants are simple it is also the simple dishes that are the easiest to fuck up.

I was going to ask the same thing. When I first heard about biscuits and gravy I was a little freaked out. Just sounds odd to me even if they are scones.

Maybe where you live. Scones here are very different from biscuits or cookies.

http://probonobaker.typepad.com/prob...cone_plate.JPG

I would never consider putting gravy on a scone.

Same here - our scones usually come with cream and strawberry jam.

Country fried steak with biscuits and gravy, nice cup of OJ and coffee would be the perfect breakfast for me 9 out of 10 mornings... :thumbsup:thumbsup

Maybe that would help. I find scones to be a little too much. It is like eating a half a loaf of bread with nothing on it.

One of my favorite things to do when in Indiana is go to the Cracker Barrel. After my first visit there I had to tone it down a bit though, they give you a ton of food.

I was horrified to find out that in the Navy they make chicken fried steak on a flat grill. :(

Violetta 12-16-2007 01:19 PM
