All site high traffic drop

Anyone else experiencing a high traffic drop in the last 2 or more days. My traffic dropped a couple g's on all my sites, porn / non porn. I'm guessing and hoping this is due to christmas and that no one has time to view sites??

Not really experiencing any major drops. Maybe your link has been removed somewhere or desisted from some search engine?

I have heard people talking about a decline in internet traffic over holidays like 4th of July and Memorial Day. So it's quite possible that the time between Thanksgiving and Christmas could put a dent in traffic.

any major changes happen?

DonKon 12-14-2007 10:15 PM

yeah i lost about 5k uniques on one of my sites today.

femdomdestiny 12-15-2007 02:03 AM

yes

I've noticed 50% drop of yahoo traffic. I am not dealing with big amount, but anyway, it is 50% of SE traaffic, whic definitely have impact on sales.

Other sites are also sending less traffic, but not so much as yahoo. It started 4 or 5 days ago

I think it varies from person to person and time to time. According to my Stats Remotes dollar estimate for this month...I'm about to make the most money I ever have! :) At the same time I had my worst month ever a couple of months ago...go figure Anyway, as long as you don't lose too much traffic I wouldn't worry about it. I always say there is only ONE number that counts. The one in the bank account. :)

Manowar 12-16-2007 06:23 PM

i think google is messing around at the moment

cruxop 12-16-2007 08:05 PM

Up 10% over the past 1 week. Must be just you.

Holiday season... You will notice a big drop in traffic. I own a paysite and during the holiday season we stop all advertising. It's just waste of money. People are too busy with traveling and family. Picks up after Jan1. Jan 1-3 are the biggest traffic days.

December has been a slow month for me in general.

donteattuna 12-26-2007 10:00 PM

I think it's relavent to the topic, I'm tied to a few Brick and Morter's (non adult) and profits are down 30-50% from last year and year before same time. Have ears to several other B & M's, and same for them. I know it doesn't always match what you hear on TV on economy, except one blurp I heard day before yesterday "season could be slowest in 5yrs".

Funny how you say that but your alexa has your highest spike in December. So you didnt monetize you largest month for traffic?
