USA <-> Europe - Americans will get disability pay in Belgium

2 stories in Belgian news today:

1. Bush vetos health care for poor children
2. American handicapped woman has the right to disability pay in Belgium:
the Belgian Constitutional Court declared that current law which gives the right to disability pay to Belgians, EU citizens & some refugees is discriminating and that all legal inhatibants have the right to this social service.

keep in mind that every legal inhabitant has universal healthcare anyway, this is on top of that.

So stop listening to Republicans telling you universal healthcare is too expensive. Support the American middle class, because the more they drop, the harder the dollar drops.

Proud of the Belgian Court today, giving same rights to all tax payers

EU citizens... does that mean that if 1 Million partial-humans from the 'new member countries' move to Belgium they get benefits?

Universal healthcare is a MUST for any civilised country, there is no other reason than greed.. although I don't say there is a simple solution...

Btw. good to see you! will get in touch once I have something new to share.. :winkwink:

All the partial humans in the former eastern block have these benefits for more than 60 years already.. :2 cents:

In the U.S. Media, news, papers, radio, ect.. Universal healthcare is pushed as a major danger to Americans. They pitch the idea of total gov takeover backed by a monsterous tax increase.

The American Voting population has a job, pays bills, has kids, and has health care. So pushing a huge tax increase health care plan on something they already over pay for isn't going to be very easy.

And much of the medical community doesn't support it either, way to much money to be lost if the Gov took control. They lobby the Gov, tell the people it's bad, making it even harder to get going.

At that, the US really doesn't need Universal Health Care, it simply needs laws to force medical costs to match what other countries pay and force insurance companies to insure the sick/old - whatever. We have a fine system, it just has some broken parts.

indeed, funny to see how ignorant people can be and yes Czechs also have color TV :1orglaugh

Czech however don't have some of the juicier benefits like vacation money, which I get from my friend in Florida, neither do Americans. It's money you get in June to go on vacation in the summer months :thumbsup

so how come government run systems (Europe, Canada) are cheaper than the private run systems? If you have 50 million Americans (1/6 of the country) without healthcare and a ton of others with inadequate healthcare you have a big problem, some tweaks here and there won't fix it

for the taxes: start looking where the taxes and the tax cuts go to and you'll find plenty of money for universal healthcare, but if you keep allowing bribery (campaign contributions) and pillaging of your state finances, you'll end up with no money leftover for healthcare, hell just revert back to the pre-Nixon system and you'll be better of

The US has a child mortality rate of a poor country, shouldn't that alone make anyone stop and think?

I'm not saying we don't have a problem. But our Medicare systems, and social security, ran by the Gov now is currently trashed, dieing, and fucked. So you aren't going to tell a bunch of Americans who already know this, that it's a good idea to let our Gov tell us how our medical systems should be ran.

Now that it's being ran correctly or good now. The point is you aren't going to convince Americans that they are better off by letting the Gov regulate everything.

And the US is #10 in the world for child morality rates, and #2 for the dev nationals putting uss ahead of many countries with universal medical systems. And even if we are lower here, we rank higher in many many areas than even the best medical care countries.

The U.S. needs a preventive medicine health care system for all income levels and the Insurance companies forced to not over charge for everything. We don't need poor people who won't work now, already living off the state/gov, taking more of my money and not giving anything back. You want to see where the jacked up American stats come from? look in these areas..

The fucked up thing is you would assume anyone with a brain could figure out universal health care would be a good thing. Too bad there are far too many idiots in this country. It's like preprogrammed into the average right wingers mind. If you say universal health care.. they instantly scream socialism..

It's amazing how stupid some of the people in this country are..

It has about the same collective sanity value as if they used to claim that people behind the iron curtain lived in serious poverty and were starving.. :2 cents:

(well if I disclose Northern Korea, Ceaucescu's Romania and Mao's cultural revolution...)

not that hard, problem is all the rain, just like England

but most of Europe & Canada are the same, some details just are different, think France will give you the most benefits overall + they have the great climate in the south.

The Judge 12-13-2007 03:23 PM
