why does every retard talk bad about clipshare?
I see all these people posting about exploits and being hacked but I see new sites launching every day using clipshare or a modified version.
I do not get it. Alexa 10k site launched in the last 2 months running fine on clipshare but everyone here posts how bad it is. |
Alexa 10k? I think clipshare does fine until about 50k+ uniques a day

Many times with scripts like this the exploit may be in the version of software the SERVER is using coupled with a hole in the software. so many people with certain version of say php will be affected while others won't have a problem. Kinda like having a new alarm with an old lock. true its not the new alarms fault thew old lock is easily broken. but the alarm company also has some responsibility to tell the consumer that the new alarm is useless if you have an old lock. |
Why do some retards not search for information before they make a stupid thread?

Clipshare sux!! Tons of exploits! You want me to tell you how they recommend we lock down the admin? Use a .htaccess file and deny access to the admin and rename the admin to something besides siteadmin.php so that no one will know what to look for when hacking it.

clipshare rocks!
...with that said, I have a license for it that I never used... if anyone is interested in it, hit me up... |

dougeetx, htaccess files are always good to use. I use them on all my admin controls. Its that extra bit of security.
