from the age of six when my mother always accused me of doing stuff and I would turn to her with those innocent eyes and go.....wasn't me:)

I know someone very close to me that does not lie for a fact. when he was a kid, he conjured up something in his brain that if he ever lied, he would die that night. It's so stupid but this has been in his head since childhood. And trust me, I have been around him many times when I begged him to lie and he wouldn't do it....and all hell broke loose.

So, some people really don't ever lie. If you ask him if you are ugly, he tries to be nice about it but it still comes out that you're not pretty..no way around it.

He must not have a lot of friends lol !

suprising but he has really good ones. For some reason, people appreciate it and come to him to get answers no one else will give. He is such a good guy and i would trust him with my life...

I have asked him things and his response was " do you really want to hear the truth?"....sometimes, I say no because I know I will get it and it's not what I want.

I prefer to call it bluffing. Like in poker.

I hate to lie to any one about any thing. However when my circle of friends started shrinking I was told it was because I told people the truth some times when it wasn't the right thing. I still don't lie, but I may put some spin on things so it won't be quite as harsh. Some times it's bad to be brutally honest I guess.

I do always try to avoid it. Cant remember the last time I DID lie!

I hate having to lie, but I have kids under 7 and for some reason you just have to lie to them about the easter bunny, santa, the tooth fairy, etc.

Everybody lies, but I do my best to always (almost) tell the truth even if it hurts.

I say most of us do ... not because we're bad people but just for the very reasons like some pointed out ... we don't want to hurt people's feelings and other such reasons. It would be an interesting self challenge to go ONE full week without so much as even the tiniest white lie.

That said, I try not to ... it ruins my aura!
