Looks like the days of hiring star college coaches for the NFL is going to come to an end pretty soon. They keep running back to school.

It's really fucked up too because he would have been in a position to draft his kid Brian Brohm from Louisville next year, and it's not like there was pressure to "win now", nobody expected them to be good after losing Michael Vick.

I wouldn't want that sinking ship to be my first experience in the pros either.

If he had stayed, this is the season that would have gotten him fired, and they'd be starting all over again now.
If he stayed he would have fired Randy Mueller too and done god knows what in the draft. Probably traded a 2nd round pick to St Louis to get Gus Frerrote or something like that.

They had a solid draft this year and they have a good GM and alot of good picks going into next year. Shouldn't take too long to turn things around. :2 cents:

He will be back in the NFL in 5 to 8 years and when he comes back he will get another shot at running a team that can win.

He'll never get hired for another NFL job again.
