Microsoft Offers Windows Vista Ultimate For Free

Microsoft will give you a free copy of Vista Ultimate if you let them snoop on you for 3 months. Infact its not just vista you can get, perhaps you?d prefer these instead ?

Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate (32-bit and 64-bit DVD)
Microsoft Office Ultimate 2007
Microsoft Money Plus Premium
Microsoft Student with Encarta Premium 2008
Microsoft Streets and Trips 2008

So where?s the catch ? well there isn?t one you just download their spying software, fill out a 15min survey and you?re good to go. Further details are available here:

p.s. only for US

L-Pink 12-11-2007 01:05 PM

I have a mental picture of Bill Gates going through my underwear drawer.

Fluid 12-11-2007 01:33 PM

too bad it's only for the us.
I have a tower I don't do a damn thing on right now, could connect it and do the 3 months without touching it once, and own the software hehe

crockett 12-11-2007 01:43 PM

Where do you see it's only for 3 months? Hell I'll do it for my laptop as I only have XP on it and I hardly ever use it. lol so they won't get much info outta me..

seeric 12-11-2007 01:46 PM

haha. yah no thanks.

Damian_Maxcash 12-12-2007 03:02 AM

I havnt had my morning coffee so I may be being a bit slow....where does say anything about free software - other than the feedback program?

martinsc 12-12-2007 03:15 AM

yup another one only for the US... :(

Bojangles 12-12-2007 04:00 AM

Fuck Vista.

minusonebit 12-12-2007 04:01 AM

Thanks, but I'll stick with downloading my software.

Iron Fist 12-12-2007 04:17 AM

Storing the data in binary format makes it very small and easy to share with us, but difficult for you to translate and interpret.

Shenanigans!

fuzzylogic 12-12-2007 04:31 AM

"Thank you for your interest in the feedback program. Due to overwhelming response, the supply of gifts have been exhausted so we have closed our free product offer on 12/11/2007 at 2pm. Thanks to everyone that participated!"

DamianJ 12-12-2007 07:34 AM

Forest 12-12-2007 07:47 AM

sumphatpimp 12-12-2007 08:08 AM

if they are giving it away for free you know it must be good!
ROFL!!!

no thanks, I found this linux thing.
it just works.

UniqueD 12-12-2007 08:49 AM

I use Vista Ultimate on a home theater pc, for media center, and business on my laptop for work etc... Couldn't be happier. People are always going to bitch and moan at any new OS that M$ brings out, it's the cool thing to do. Don't be afraid of change. :2 cents:

GTS Mark 12-12-2007 08:52 AM

I am just in the middle of removing Vista Ultimate LOL!

Don't do it guys, simply not worth it.

pornask 12-12-2007 09:04 AM

I would totally participate if it wasn't for US only :(

headless ghost 12-12-2007 09:29 AM

why would I want to install something that is known not to work? only to remove it and reinstall XP
WTF RETARD!

gornyhuy 12-12-2007 09:31 AM

Great bargain - sacrifice your privacy in exchange for a turd.

D 12-12-2007 09:55 AM

Interesting concept.

But yeah... even if it were still available - no thanks.

tiger 12-12-2007 12:24 PM

Yeah I would trust them to stop spying after 3 months. ROFL

Other than 3 Sony Vaios we run on leased Dells here at GTS.

We're 100% software compliant for all Adobe and other 3rd party apps being used in the office. But don't take my word for it, I only did the audit myself. Then again what do I know, I've only been an IT administrator on and off for 10 years... :thumbsup

Yes but eventually Vista will come around so why not get it for free. I run Vista on one machine now and it's not that bad.

aico 12-12-2007 02:47 PM

I can already see the Mac commercial for this one.

This is nothing new, MS and other software companies have done this in the past.
