My entire Yahoo list just got orphaned! Did this happen to anyone else?

I gave up on Trillion, but it is easier than having 5 different messengers open at all times

yeah, same thing happened to me today. it was workign fine yesterday i dont know what the deal is. hopefully it is fixed soon

i use Adium for my mac, maybe they have one for PC based but it works about the same. might want to try that.

Hmm...yea mine stopped booting up entirely today. I just reinstalled it and all my Yahoo contacts are gone too. It definitely sucks balls...but someones gotta come up with a better alternative, for me to stop using Trillian.

It has been behaving for me lately but there have been some bad moments with it in the past.

It erased two of my ICQ lists about 6 months ago. I gave up on it for a while. Recently it ate my Aim Contacts but then gave them back about a week later. It always gives me messages that I have too many people in my contact lists, yet I use Pro.

try pidgin, its free and it does'nt suck.

that is about the only thing I hate with Trillian. Sometimes it happens with people in my icq list but never seen it with Yahoo.

Maybe the FTC took it in part of the settlement

I had it a long time ago, but now I just use the separate programs.

Trillian seems to only work best with AOL/AIM. I tend to have problems with the MSN/Yahoo connections at least a few times a month.

I don't like Trillian neither... Too many bugs all the time..

never happened to me, but i have problems with it crashing occasionally.

I went back to just using icq and yahoo.Trillian kept crashing on me.

I've been using Pidgin for awhile now... it's much smoother than Trillian in my experience.

Trillian works fine for me most of the time although after the recent updates its been a little funny.

Astra has been working pretty good. I've had a few orphans but those actually might have been my doing. Overall it is much better than the old Trillian.

There is a new version of Trillian that fixes the yahoo issue... It was released within hours of yahoo changing thier backend.

Astra is the new version of Trillian that they are beta testing. It imported all of my Trillian contacts without any issues.

Adium is just amazing. I've never had any issues with it. Hopefully they'll come out with a PC version.

There is a new update 3.1 that works with Yahoo again. I just installed it and works fine on my one PC.

I'm hoping astra resolves all this trillian orphaning bullshit. If not, I'm going to declare IM bankruptcy and go back to running them all at the same time.

just use meebo..its easier...

Yeah my Yahoo contacts disappeared too and are back but it's still acting weird..

Yeak trill sucks at the moment, i just moved back to single aps. Lets hope that astra is soon on the way
