Use DIVX Web Player in your members sections?
 

DIVX files are usually a pain in the ass, you have to download the entire file before playing. So i started using DIVX Web Player, which allowed DIVX almost dvd quality files to be streamed. It was awsome until recently...

Several members, to one of my paysites, have emailed me with movie downloading problems - 401 errors.

So i looked it up and found this:

December 2007:
"The DIVX team has disabled the feature to view videos under protected pages."

So i'm guessing with the lastest divx software update they disabled streaming video via DIVX Web Player inside members sections!!!

Not too many people use this, but just wanted to give a heads up...

Anybody know why they did this?

wow that is big news thanks for the heads up - I considered going divx recently and glad i waited - I bet this is a prob with VOD too
