To the gamers...you must play CRYSIS
 

I liked Call of Duty 4, but Crysis, is hands down the best game ever. I bought it Saturday night and played all day Sunday(about 10 hours) -- just to let you know, I love me some football. It takes a lot to drag me away from my games.

Call of Duty pretty much funnels you through a set path, with a little bit of freedom. Crysis gives you the freedom to roam wherever you want and doesn't try to block you off from anything. You can go on a fucking nature walk for miles if you'd like. The game looks beautiful and the sound is tight as hell. COD has some really wimpy gun and explosion sound effects, but crysis has some real kick when a grenade goes off. The gameplay and physics feel better also.

Give it a try if you have no life at the moment. Just make sure you have at least an 8800gts vid card.

COD was more dependent on CPU, but Crysis need a video card for all of the effects.

I love COD4, but with regards to sound...they're reusing A LOT of sound effects from the old stuff.

i beat crysis a few days after I bought it and imo... it's just a rehashing of FarCry. Very good audio and visual effects but lacks any real "new" stuff.

One thing I will say is that some of the "levels" were insanely hard.... like to the point of getting my heart beating fast :1orglaugh

Yeah, but what's great about that is, if something's not working out for you, you can re-plan your attack and try another way.

I loved a couple parts of the game where I sat up on hill for about 5 minutes with my binocs planning a stealthy assault. Sneaking in, and staying hidden for as long as possible, then fighting my way out if needed.

Sometimes it just worked to be a straight up cowboy and rush into the shit.

Crysis is fucking cool, but man that games has alot of bugs.. those jerks just had to have the game our before christmas...

You're right on that one. I can always tell when it's about to crash. there's only a few problem areas...

There's one giant warehouse I tried to enter and the game froze up. make sure you have the Nvidia 169.09 drivers. Cleared up many of my problems.

You bastards are intent on making me get a new gaming machine...my current setup just wont run the damn game properly.

I think I'll wait until the quad cores come down in price, and the new gen vid cards are out Q1. Then go crazy on a system :)

Yeah heard alot of good things about it..but no time to play :(

I'm just now installing it. Hopefully I still get some work done the rest of the day!
