I've been having trouble with my cable modem for about a week now so I scheduled a time for Cox to come out and take a look at it. The guy shows up today about an hour early and I really wasn't prepared. I was sitting at my desk working on a site having my morning caffeine.

When the doorbell rang I didn't figure it was him yet so I didn't bother to close any windows or clear history or anything. Haha, the poor fucker sat down at my desk, moved the mouse to take the monitors off standby and was presented with a cumshot scene open in photoshop and on the left monitor, a coed site.

The guy must think I am a fucking degenerate. I hope my 2257 shit is in order. I have this feeling I might be needing it soon. :1orglaugh

I set up a connection for a small office several years ago, when I went into the bosses office he had about 5 Netscape windows, all with pr0n titles. :1orglaugh He didn't seem to be too bothered, he hadn't tried to close anything down when I knocked and entered...

Nah.. they will just put your modem on a proxy server and watch your surfing habits for a few weeks and see if theres anything illegal. Nothing to worry about.... :)

That is why I minimize everything before going to the door. I just know that will happen to me otherwise.

I tipped the cable guy that installed my first cable modem an eighth back in 98.

Unless you have a shitload of windows open it's still possible to see titles even when they're minimised. :winkwink: (under Windows anyway)

I remote into my 'work computer' from a laptop. That way I can just minimize the remote window..none of those worries.

I used to install cable modems, been there done that. It's wasn't ever any fun unless it was a hot chick's house whom had some naughty pics of her self on the pc.

The best one's were the people who's PC's were filled with porn spyware and auto bookmarks, I used to get a kick out of them say.. I have no idea how that got there.

I've had several different cable/dsl providers over the years and never once have any of them ever been near my computer.

I used to have a friend that was an installer and he would almost always get on aim while at clients houses and message me. I never understood how he had so much time to do that.
