HELP: Google wont list all of my pages and I have no idea why!
 

I have a site, which says when I do a search:

Site:mysite.com 1 of 1800 pages found. however today when i did it, it said site:mysite 1 of 500 pages found. and I think there are 2000 pages anyway. Today I have also noticed a drop in traffic.

Is there any way I can make google see all my pages. I tried a sitemap a while ago and it didnt work to well to be honest, I also had to take it down due to errors with accidental duplicate content that it scanned. Are there any other methods one could use to get all my pages scanned?

Thanks in advance if anyone has any ideas what to do or is going on.

1. is robots.txt set up?
2. is the site new?
3. did you do anything that might have got you banned?

The problem is you aren't a real webmaster. If you were, you would know why an entire site isn't getting indexed.

Rumor has it Google just started rolling something out.... SERP's are showing less results for terms. Ergo, less pages will likely show up.

It is impossible for all of your pages to make it out of the supplemental index.

Unless you have like 4 pages. All with good inbound links and relevant information.

It happened from 6 months before and you just posted it now??? It's too late to fix it now :(
I think I know what the problem is because I'm dealing with it on my site now too. Waiting for the fixing result.

I did post about it 6 months ago and the problem was rectified, but this is simply about it not scanning all the pages and I wish it too.
