unlimited BW hosts?
 

Im lookin for a new host.. i'd prefer unlimited BW, cause I don't want to get a 10gig account and then oops, 100gigs a month..
Im not sure how much BW i'll transfer.. so I wanna go unlimited for now..
any good guys around? i'd prefer canadian.. but if price is right i'll take american comps

Most hosts won't cap your bandwidth so you won't have to worry about signing up for a smaller plan. However, the bulk of hosts will charge you overage if you exceed your plan.

So, make sure that you look at the cost of overage when you signup with a hosting company.

There is no such thing as an unlimited bandwidth hosting account. Your best bet is to start with a reasonably priced 50gig plan with a host that you like the pricing if you happen to grow to 100gigs or more.

There is NO such thing as Unlimmited bandwidth.

Here's probably what you saw:

NON-adult hosting sometimes offers unlimited bandwidth. The small print says you can't host pictures, galleries or adult content... or movies, or music files. They know it's impossible for any such non-adult site to use any bandwidth.

I think you should go with a host that specializes in adult hosting - there are certainly enough of them. Lots of people around here own hosting companies, follow some of their links. Here is a link a few resource sites that are great for newbies like yourself:

I agree, it's always best to go with a host that specializes in adult hosing. The main reason being they'll (hopefully) be setup to handle the bandwidth expectations. A single adult site can draw significantly more bandwidth than most non-adult sites for a host and if it's not something their prepared for...both of your are going to suffer.

Also always be wary of hosts that offer "Unlimited bandwidth"...I've never seen a company offer to host your sites and offer unlimited bandwidth without there being a cap on that bandwidth amount. You're better off finding a company that offers tiered bandwidth plans so you can start small and gradually increase your plan with them as you need more throughput.

Yeah, there is no unlimited bandwidth...what most hosts mean by "unlimited bandwidth" is "unlimited traffic", but the problem is that it becomes very slow as soon as the bandwidth you get is maxed out. Most hosts offering this put dozens of accounts on one server with a shitty connection, it's like trying to push an elephant trough an small pipe...

If I were you I would definitely stick to adult hosts. They are better, cheaper and understand your needs when you call them needing to install a trade script or something adult related.

Check out Sinhost. He's pretty helpful as you have seen which is a good sign. There's also Like Whoa as well as many other good hosts on this board. I'm sure they'll be around shortly.

there are no unlimited bandwidth hosts. sooner or later they will oversell so they can make some money.

If you are doing avs sites or promoting the avs on tgp pages, I can give you all the free hosting you want. I dont care if you promote your regular memberships as well I just need to make sure you are promoting my avs's as well.

I have a wide open empty server and need people to start doing some bandwdith anyway :))
