ICQ is so crappy, its a shame too because I love AIM, and AOL could make ICQ so much better, but it's not, it's pile of dirty shit. Hell I even uninstalled it because it was so shitty. Well now I use pidgin.im and I'll say its 100% easier to use...

Things I like over ICQ about it:
- Alias, no longer do you need to remember whos number is whos, and what names are whos since they change them so much, give an Alias and it stays as that to you.

- No problems with people sending me links or sending links to people that arn't on my list.

and soon to be many more!

lol u can disable spam filter on icq its only noobs who dont turn it off...
also no matter when someone changes his icq nick it always stays the same as u added him....u can change that too...dont be a noob icq is fine......its you who got the problems....but its good that you found a software that help you with your lack on knoladge in im software.

I <3 pidgin aswell .. been using it since the early gAIM times. 10x better than trillian / miranda for me, the logs folder is goin back to 2004 :)

Wish it was a little different skin controlled, but GTK works for me.

Loaded up with the right plugins, pidgin is a very well rounded piece of IM software. :thumbsup
