help with podcast
 

hi all, So I have been doing a dialy podcast of about 20 mins each day on our site. it covers whats going on with the boys in the hosue and usually has a guest on. I am hoping to get some critical feedback on it, is it interesting , is it boring ? how can i make it better?

I listened to the podcasts and I think they are pretty good as far as content and audio quality. it sounds like you are going "off the cuff" and some times that can be good, but you will have a tighter show if you have questions prepared and possibly even send out a small list of questions you intend to ask your guest. This gives them a chance to be organized with their answers as well as being a bit more comfortable. You can also have 2 or 3 surprise questions for your guest. Overall I thought they were really interesting to listen to and certainly made me curious about the site.

I did not get chance to listen, but i noted the files are 12mb. how long do the files last as they are big files.

My advice would be do a vid podcast instead as then people can see samples of the site.

Think this way, most people will watch a vid podcast as they are on there pc, such samples may get them to join. MP3 may be listened to in the car or while they are on the way to work, so may have forgotten about the site by the time they are home.

But regardless of that 12mb seems big for mp3 files. I suspect they are voice only too so you can save them in a lower quality. This will not just save your badwidth but be quicker to download.
