Why does yahoo love me and google hate me ?

I have a site where if you search for the girls name she is the #1 result in yahoo and the #110th result in google. For a different chick I bought a blog off a guy this week. She was the #17 result if you search google for her name. The next day she went up to #4. Two days later she went to #531. One day later she wasn't in the top 1,000. What the fuck did I do? The site got a new IP obviously, and I made one new blog entry.

I know you can't tell me for sure but i would appreaciate your theories.
Thanks

Both algorithms work in a different way.

yahoo isn't google ? :winkwink:

you can't compare the 2 really , they are based on different criteria.

All I know is one day I was living fat off the yahoo lamb and overnight they changed their algorithm and fucked me completely.

I get ranked better in Yahoo for the good terms but I get more hits from google.

As far as reasons the blog may have dropped was, as you said, a change in IP. Also depending on the keyword balance of the page, and if you stuffed/didn't stuff the right/wrong keywords into the blog post, and ALSO possibly if the previous site owner pulled some links.

that's all I really got with the info you have posted

For the same reason that the dinosaurs became extinct, because you touch yourself at night.

Thank you for the reply. I might have use the keywords too densely in the new post. I think google penalizes that.
