why does everyone bitch about spam?
 

Im sorry, I just dont get the whole thing about people getting really pissed off when they get a little spam. Now, im not talking about the bulk spam for porn sites that invade your mailbox 20 at a time, im talking about a email here or there about a specific program or an announcement on the boards and such.I dont really see what the big deal is. Ive gotten spam before that ive actualy found usefull.

But people make such a big deal about it, like they have been violated or something. Am I the only one who just does not care about a little spam?

The thing is its gotta be kept under control, if you start to let people spam, then every second post will be someone spamming affiliate programs and stuff like that.

I thought you were retarded when I saw the thread title, but I get your point. The bucket loads of porn spam are totally unacceptable. But when someone's whole world falls apart because they got one or two unsolicited emails, I don't get it at all.

If people spam and no one bitches, eventually you are going to be bombarded with shitloads of spam messages daily.

I bet when people's postal mailboxes started getting junkmail (spam) a long time ago they started bitchin about that.
Now everytime I go to the mailbox it has junkmail in it - brochures, coupon books etc (spam) and I don't think anything about it. There will always be spam.
