Tube Sites must be making money
 

or else they would not stay online this long and piss away money on bandwidth.

What do you guys think? Anyone know any numbers?

I've heard of companies just scraping by.


Wasn't there a story posted recently about the tiny profits of YouPorn or something?

There was a story about it and the guy wanted like 20 million for 100k revenues or something like that. But it did not make any sense 20 mill for a small amount of revenue. I do not know what they were basing their calculations on.

Hopefully they all die a quicker death than they allready are...

i suspect these tube sites are making bank beyond belief....bandwidth doesn't cost what it used to :2 cents:

if they were doing great they wouldnt be selling memberships, which it seems more and more are starting to do. Remember the net has tried the ads pays for everything model already it failed.

But I have seen stats of tube sites and yes, they have huge traffic, but their conversion sucks..

You can make some serious money with tube sites. I did with http://www.VideoSlacker.com before selling it. If you combine adsense with the interestials from adbrite, you can do pretty well.

it sucks but i agree. they are giving the visitor exactly what they want; access to hundreds of movies at no cost and they dont have to download.

Porn hub . com is right at the top of innovation.
Maybe we'll reach a point somtime when program owners will pay to get their promo materials onto tube sites.

like alot of the movie studios are doing with you tube. I agree, this could happen.

Tube Sites is too broad of a term.

Sites that are just giving away trailers or short clips from FHG's and have targeted advertising are probably doing well.

Sites giving away full length 30+ minute movies that they stole so they can advertise dating and cams are most likely losing money IMO.

I can spend hours on You Tube just looking at videos. I'm guessing tube sites just burn bandwidth....

That's my method exactly. Notice the "pull content" function in my script.
It strips the movies from FHG's, hundreds at a time. :winkwink:

Somebody explain to me, the amateur website, how to "adapt" as everyone else says.

I have uploaded tons of 1 min trailer clips to all the bigger tube sites, viral marketing of sorts.

I don't mind the affiliate related sites such as snizzshare or pornotube, as long as we are both making money.

But shit, I find my full length members videos all over the place. If I add DRM I get bitched at by members and reviews. So I don't think that is the solution.

Somebody give me a direction to go, because I am getting lost.
