Bad News for Flying Dog Brewery...
Caught this elsewhere on the web, and though you guys might dig on the destruction.
Seems someone at Flying Dog Brewery wasn't paying attention during a cleaning cycle on Sunday and closed the system... These things are built to withstand large amounts of pressure pushing out... but not really prepared to withstand pressure sucking in. And so, it appears a 300bbl tank (that means it holds 9300 gallons) gets borked... Physics in Action. http://i211.photobucket.com/albums/b.../ferm1_640.jpg http://i211.photobucket.com/albums/b.../ferm2_640.jpg http://i211.photobucket.com/albums/b.../ferm3_640.jpg http://i211.photobucket.com/albums/b.../ferm4_640.jpg |

I'm sure they'll be able to salvage some of it as scrap, but, as a whole, its fermenting days are probably done. |
That's a fantastic fuckup...
