Popping the question - advice needed
 

I want to pop the question (yes, THE question, as in "will you marry me?", not as in "want anal?" or "ever given a rim job?") to my gf, and, since originality has always been one of the strongest points of this board, I'd like some advice from you people on a good, romantic way to ask her.

I thought you had a "pooping question" - must have read it wrong.

send her a video of some girl blowing you, and rub her face out and put a "this could be you" arrow pointing to her, then flash "MARRY ME!"

I heard about this one way that I thought was so sweet;

She sits down on the couch where he places her 'present' on the coffee table infront of her. When she opens it a balloon floats up and tied onto the ribbon right at eye level is the ring. As soon as she sees it he gets down on one knee and asks her to marry him...

*sniffle*

Take her to a football game and see if the stadium puts the question up on the TV screens,,

that way she will be put on the spot and she will have to say YES!!

Hmmm...I was thinking about taking her to Prague or Paris for a weekend and propose there, in some nice and quiet little restaurant. Good or bad?

Then do it at the very top of the Eiffel tower at sunset, or some place epic like that.

Too many damn tourists there, kinda cliche as well... how about a small rowing boat in the Lac Inferieur?

why not just club her over the head neanderthal style with a baguette,drag her to the nearest church and marry her?

Don't do it. Marriage is unneccesary.

Take her to the Louvre and propose infront of Antonio Canova's statue of Eros and Psyche

I had this done to me,

1) Set up a Christmas tree complete with lights etc (shouldn't be more than 4' tall so as to be able to go on a table preferably)
2)Put the wrapped ring in a Xmas sock just beyond the tree (somewhere not real evident)
3)Put a card under the tree (see below)

Let her come in and naturally she will ask what the heck is THAT?!

You say "Well you are the most important gift I have ever gotten in my life so I thought I would remind myself each and every day like this.

Her natural female curiousity will have her looking at the tree and see the card, and of course open it since it has her name on it. In the card have something like Santa left you a sock last night since I had a tree!

And then have the sock somewhere where she will look and see it. No real question needed unless you choose to come up with some personal way of doing the knee thing.

NO one can tell you how to do that without knowing you both very well. So that part is up to you.

It shows you care enough to go to allll that trouble and put that much effort in to it that you really care. :thumbsup
